Synopsis

Share means part. The market is the place where you can buy and sell. In a literal sense, the stock market is a place to buy and sell a stake in a listed company. There are two major stock exchanges in India called the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE).In BSE or NSE, shares of a listed company are bought and sold through a broker. In the stock market, however, bonds, mutual funds, and derivatives are also traded.

What does it mean to buy shares?Suppose a company listed in the NSE has issued a total of 10 lakh shares. According to the proposal of that company, the number of shares you buy, you own that share in that company. The number of shares to be given to a person or group at the time the company issues shares is up to its discretion. To buy/sell shares from the stock market, you have to take the help of a broker. The value of shares of a listed company is recorded in BSE / NSE. The value of the shares of all listed companies fluctuates according to their profit-making potential. All the stock markets are controlled by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI or SEBI).

How does a company get listed in BSE / NSE?
To get listed in the stock market, the company has to enter into a written agreement with the stock market. After this, the company submits all its necessary documents to the capital market regulator SEBI. After this, the company keeps giving information about its activities to the stock market from time to time. These specifically include such information, which affects the interests of investors.

In various aspects of life, we are all forced to deal with the common obstacle of having to deal with difficult individuals. For instance, difficult coworkers or bosses at work might contribute to an unfavorable work environment, reduce productivity, and even impact happiness at work. Personal connections can be strained, stressful, and filled with conflict when difficult friends or family members are involved. It is possible to improve the quality of our lives as well as the lives of those who are close to us by becoming more skilled at navigating difficult social encounters.
One of the most crucial skills for one's own personal growth and development is the capacity to deal with difficult people. In order for us to learn how to deal with difficult people, we need to develop abilities such as active listening, empathy, assertiveness, and the ability to resolve conflicts. These abilities not only make it easier for us to deal with difficult people, but they also make it possible for us to become better communicators as well as more efficient leaders.
The capacity to concentrate on what the other person is saying without interrupting or becoming distracted is an essential component of active listening. This ability allows us to understand the perspective and feelings of the other person, which is critical for developing empathy and trust for one another.

We have to stop treating a pneumonia patient with cough syrup! The majority of leadership books focus on treating the symptoms of poor leadership and not the disease itself. In leadership the symptoms may be low employee engagement, bad communication, lack of trust, and micromanagement, but the underlying disease relates to CHARACTER.
Our data proves that people want to follow character.
Ask yourself, "Would you follow you?"
Unlike other books, Becoming a Leader of Character simply and boldly tells us HOW to develop our character instead of just telling us we need to have it. Developing character is not complicated, but it is hard. Growing always requires a little sweat!
"You have to DO what you want to BE!"
If you want something more than theories, and you want to BE the Leader of Character your business, your family, and your country desperately need, read Becoming a Leader of Character and start doing what Leaders of Character DO.
This book lays out a plan for you to become that leader you would want to follow - a Leader of Character.

Forgotten - The Untold Story of...

The injustices of 1940s Jim Crow America are brought to life in this extraordinary blend of military and social history, an account that pays tribute to the valor of an all-black battalion whose crucial contributions at D-day have gone unrecognized to this day.
In the early hours of June 6, 1944, the 320th Barrage Balloon Battalion, a unit of African American soldiers, landed on the beaches of France. Their orders were to man a curtain of armed balloons meant to deter enemy aircraft. One member of the 320th would be nominated for the Medal of Honor, an award he would never receive because the nation’s highest decoration was not given to black soldiers in World War II.
Drawing on newly uncovered military records and dozens of original interviews with surviving members of the 320th and their families, Linda Hervieux tells the story of these heroic men charged with an extraordinary mission, whose contributions to one of the most celebrated events in modern history have been overlooked.
Thousands of African Americans were sent abroad to fight for liberties denied them at home, including these members of the 320th: Wilson Monk, a jack-of-all-trades from Atlantic City; Henry Parham, the son of sharecroppers from rural Virginia; William Dabney, an eager seventeen-year-old from Roanoke, Virginia; and Samuel Mattison, a charming romantic from Columbus, Ohio. In Europe, these soldiers discovered freedom they had not known in a homeland that treated them as second-class citizens—experiences they carried back to America, fueling the budding civil-rights movement.
In telling the story of the 320th Barrage Balloon Battalion, Hervieux offers a vivid account of the tension between racial politics and national service in wartime America and a moving narrative of human bravery and perseverance in the face of injustice.

Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American innovator, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and futurist who helped establish the contemporary rotating present (AC) electrical energy delivery system.
Tesla, who was born and raised in the Austrian Empire, studied engineering and physics without getting a grade in the 1870s and acquired useful experience in the early 1880s operating in telephone and at Continental Edison in the nascent electrical power business. He relocated to the USA in the year 1884 and ended up being a naturalized person. Before setting out on his own, he worked for a brief time at the Edison Device Works in N.Y. City. Tesla developed labs and business in New York to develop a range of electrical and mechanical gadgets with the support of partners to fund and promote his ideas. His rotating present (AC) induction motor and associated polyphase AC developments were accredited by Westinghouse Electric in the year 1888 and were the foundation of the polyphase system that firm consequently advertised.
Let’s learn more about this nutty professor, this obsessed genius who was way ahead of his time.

The Illiad & The Odyssey are two epic poems by Greek author Homer, works that have been entertaining— and perhaps exasperating— readers for centuries. In a series of lectures, literary scholar Elizabeth McNamer provides engaging insights into these two iconic works. McNamer first discusses how The Iliad portrays love, jealousy, pride, and the courage men and women display in war. McNamer then focuses on and The Odyssey in which the hero Odysseus endures strange adventures en route home to his faithful wife. While these lectures are grounded in scholarly research, they are also accessible for contemporary audiences, helping them appreciate more fully these two great works.
