Synopsis

A Shot at Freedom and Shadows of the Past
 
Carl wasn't one for chances, but this mission was supposed to be his lifeline. A simple entry, unseen—except nothing is simple in a city built on deceit. Knocking on a door guarded by barking shadows, Carl clutches at an elusive freedom, a card dealt from the edge of the abyss.
 
Inside, Carl is thrust into a game far deadlier than Solitaire ever promised. The room swells with whispers of betrayal, each figure a ghost from a past he can’t place. Guns flash like lightning in a storm of moral ambiguity. As bullets fly and identities unravel, Carl stares down destiny’s barrel, wondering just who he’ll become on the other side. In a den of secrets, only one question remains: who walks away when the smoke clears?
