"People would have to buy multiple books to get everything you put into this book"
'I absolutely love your book. Honestly, I'm reading it again because it had so much information. It's deep and embodies so many aspects of spirituality. That's what I enjoyed the most about it. It's different because of that. Everything around spirituality, books, usually focus on only one or two areas. I think back to that time when I was desperately seeking answers and had no one around me to ask or talk to about this. If your book would have been available, wow, a game-changer. I can't tell you how many books I've read, especially when I was desperately seeking out everything and anything that talks about universal beliefs, all of it. Many things were, well, a waste of time. Then I would find a book which is a gold nugget. That's what makes your book amazing.' - Beta Reader
'This is a great read. I loved that it had little nuggets of information on many areas of spirituality. The author was open-minded. It's a wonderful book to grab and explore.' - Amazon Review
"I stumbled across this book by mere coincidence, although there is no such thing. While scrolling through TikTok there were so many books tokens to try the book out, and I am so glad I did. The insight in his own spiritual journey which reflects somewhat so much with my own and explains so much in how I'm feeling and how to accept the process. Fantastic." - Robert Hunt. - Losing Your Mind to Find Your Soul (Audible)

While Christians generally acknowledge that the Bible is God's Word, many of us lack robust confidence in the reality of its trustworthiness. We may not be sure if we really believe what we read. But the more we understand how Scripture came to be, the more we discover its power and truth.

Historian Susan Lim unpacks how the history of the Bible bolsters our faith and anchors us through the changing tides of time. The story of Scripture, while messy and complicated at times, is also the story of how God shepherded his people throughout the centuries in and through these writings. Lim explains how Christians came to accept certain documents as inspired and not others, and how the books we now call the Bible came to be assembled and canonized as authoritative. The same Spirit of God who oversaw the writing of Scripture continues to be at work actively in us in our receiving and reading of it, to grow us in faith and maturity.

Those of us who confess that Jesus is Lord can also confess with confidence that Scripture is God's Word. As the church through the ages has received and passed down the sacred Scriptures, so too can we receive for ourselves the living Word that God still speaks through today.

Kilteegan Bridge, Ireland 1974 For each member of the O’Sullivan family there are turbulent times ahead. Eli’s need to do his best by his patients is a cause for a bitter divide in the community. Emmet seems hell bent on going down a path in life his parents dread but they’re unable to stop him. Jack’s life and liberty are in grave peril as his secret faces exposure, while Emily’s troubles are, it seems only just beginning with the return of someone she would much rather had disappeared forever. And Maria must decide, is blood really thicker than water, and should family always come first, no matter the cost? In More Harm than Good, the Kilteegan Bridge Series continues, as the modernity of the 1970’s challenges Irish traditional ways, and generations clash, sometimes with deadly consequences.

Today, many people's lives are marked by a radical longing for a spiritual, holistic life, for meaning and purpose, on the one hand, and at the same time by a striking loss of transcendence and religion on the other. The growing longing for reliable human relationships is countered by the increasing failure of community. The deep desire for peace and security often remains unfulfilled. People's own lives are often subject to growing uncertainty and precarious circumstances. They are undermined by a lack of prospects for the future and are in danger of being paralysed by exhaustion and hopelessness. Global conditions also appear threatening: the northern and southern halves of the world, the western and eastern parts, are in the process of breaking apart. In this oppressive situation, reliable advice and guidance are in demand. Christian spirituality as a source of quality of life and as a catalyst for renewal in the Church takes on irreplaceable significance. This book offers accessible insight into a spirituality that draws on the rich tradition of Christian teaching. It can help individuals or groups on their journey with insights and suggestions, and accompany everyday life or further education with a number of ideas.

An unexpected discovery in this search for clues is a 19th-century figure who provides relevant insights: Vincent Pallotti (1795-1850). Outwardly unassuming, conventional and traditional at first glance, his prophetic message becomes apparent upon closer inspection. His insights were far ahead of his time. He was a pastor and social worker, a visionary and an organizer. In his everyday life, he proved to be attentive to the demands of the moment, always grateful, alert, and sensitive to everyone and everything. His intention to build a universal and human community, involving everyone and sharing responsibility for the whole, is still forward-looking today. Pallotti is contemplative and profound, worldly and world-loving, convinced of the holiness of the world and of all people. For the Church, he desires both depth and breadth, openness to its own diversity and the unity of all Christians, indeed of all people. He considers a comprehensive council necessary for the Church and already anticipates its coming.

Some of what Vincent Pallotti thought and lived was only recognized and established as the Church's position during the Second Vatican Council (1962–1965), while some of it goes beyond that. He was canonized by Pope John XXIII on January 20, 1963. The fact that this took place during the Council, which ushered in a new era in the Catholic Church, is programmatic.
This volume is intended as an inspiration to find inspiration and encouragement for life in Pallotti's legacy. Vincent Pallotti left behind numerous writings, including letters, prayers, occasional writings, a kind of diary, a spiritual explanation of the first part of the Christian creed, instructions for his companions and the members of the community he brought together, the Union of Catholic Apostles, as well as admonitions and reflections of various kinds. His writings are the testimony of a life that was fascinated and moved by God. In this sense, they contain an existential theology, a discourse on God in the original sense of the word, inspired by many personalities, including Augustine, Francis of Assisi, Ignatius of Loyola, and many others.
