Beschreibung

A practical training method, and not merely a text of revelation and worship – such is the true status of the ancient Sanskrit text Bhagavad Gītā. The special contribution of the Gītā is yoga, practical methods for expanding individual consciousness to realise the Supreme Self. This book presents the Gītā yoga in the light of explanations by Śan˙kara, the great seventh-century Indian philosopher and yogin, and Hari Prasad Shastri, who taught in Britain from 1929 till his death in 1956. The Gītā is directed in the first instance at the vigorously active, with responsibilities in the world. The actual practices of yoga are given for meeting the shock of the world-energies in the form of illusions, fear, greed, and anger. The whole basis of Gītā yoga is confirmation through experiment, not mere exhortation. This highly significant book presents the Gītā as a training manual for spiritual practice. Trevor Leggett studied Vedānta and the traditional Yoga of the Self for over sixty years and for eighteen years he was a pupil of Hari Prasad Shastri. Trevor Leggett published translations and transcriptions from both Sanskrit and Japanese including ‘The Complete Commentary by Śaṅkara on the Yoga Sūtras’ and ‘Zen and the Ways’. In 1987 the All-Japan Buddhist Association gave him a Literary Award for his translations and in 1990 he was invited to speak on his Śaṅkara translations to the three day International Seminar on Śaṅkara held at New Delhi. Trevor Leggett studied Judo and Zen in Japan. He achieved sixth dan in Judo from the Kodokan and he was one of Great Britain’s leading teachers of Judo. For twenty years he was head of the BBC’s Japanese Service until his retirement in 1970. He died on 2nd August 2000. Trevor Leggett’s other books on Yoga and Zen include ‘Encounters in Yoga and Zen’, ‘Lotus Lake, Dragon Pool’, ‘The Chapter of the Self ’, ‘Jewels from the Indra Net’, ‘A First Zen Reader,’ ‘A Second Zen Reader (The Tiger’s Cave)’, ‘The Spirit of Budo’, ‘The Dragon Mask’, ‘Samurai Zen (The Warrior Koans)’, and ‘Three Ages of Zen’. He is also the author of ‘Japanese Chess, the game of Shogi’. Are you trapped in a narcissistic relationship and unsure how to break free and reclaim your sense of self?
Narcissists and empaths can be the most toxic combination one can ever come across. An empath is a person with a strong need to feel compassion and empathy for others, with the grandiose ability to tune into others’ emotions. This makes empaths vulnerable to the “energy vampires” that they inevitably attract, due to their natural ability to provide for others.
Does any of these situations sound familiar?
    - You're constantly feeling emotionally exhausted, as if your partner is draining your energy.
    - Your needs and feelings seem always to be sidelined or ignored.
    - You find yourself walking on eggshells, afraid of triggering your partner's anger or criticism.
    - You've started doubting your own perceptions and feelings, wondering if you're the one at fault.
    - You feel isolated from friends and family because of your relationship.
    - Your partner oscillates between charming affection and cold indifference.
    - You're experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression, linked to your relationship dynamics.
    - You keep hoping for a change in your partner, clinging to the good moments, despite the pain.
Here's a little sneak preview of what you’ll get:
    - Narcissistic Relationships
    - Psychic Abilities
    - Guided Meditations to Avoid Manipulation
    - Negative Energies and Toxic Relationships
    - How to Deal with Narcissists
    - Can a Narcissist Love?
    - Signs You're Dating a Narcissist
    - Boundary Exercises for Empaths and Sensitive People
    -  How to stop feeling emotionally drained
    - How to stop feeling confused and anxious
And much more…Are you ready to turn the page on toxic relationships and start a new chapter of empowerment and self-discovery?

Andrew Jackson was an American attorney, soldier, and statesman who acted as the seventh president of the U.S. from 1829 to 1837. Jackson rose to prominence as a basic in the US Army and served in both homes of Congress before being chosen to the presidency.
Jackson, an expansionist president, defended the rights of the "commoner" and the Union against a "corrupt upper class."
Jackson ended up being a frontier attorney and married Rachel Donelson Robards after being born in the settler Carolinas an entire decade before the American Revolutionary War. He belonged to the US Legislature and the US Senate from Tennessee for a brief time. After giving up, he served on the Tennessee Supreme Court as a justice from 1798 till 1804.
Jackson ended up being a rich, slave-owning planter after buying a residential or commercial property referred to as The Hermitage. In the year 1801, he was selected colonel of the Tennessee militia, and the following year, he was chosen its leader. Throughout the Creek War of 1813 to 1814, he led forces to success in the Battle of Horseshoe Bend.
Let’s take a look at what else Andrew Jackson did in his life.

Explore the grizzly tale of Charleston's most infamous serial killers from the beginning of their reign of horror till their eventual incarceration and execution.

In 1819, a young man outwitted death at the hands of John and Lavinia Fisher and sparked the hunt for Charleston's most notorious serial killers. Former homicide investigator Bruce Orr follows the story of the Fishers, from the initial police raid on their Six Mile Inn with its reportedly grisly cellar to the murderous couple's incarceration and execution at the squalid Old City Jail. Yet there still may be more sinister deeds left unpunished, an overzealous sheriff, corrupt officials, and documents only recently discovered all suggest that there is more to the tale. Orr uncovers the mysteries and debunks the myths behind the infamous legend of the nation's first convicted female serial killer.

**Wage-Labour and Capital & Value, Price, and Profit** by Karl Marx is a compelling introduction to Marxist economic theory, combining two of his most influential works. In *Wage-Labour and Capital*, Marx explores the relationship between labor and capital, illuminating how the commodification of labor under capitalism generates profit for capitalists at the expense of workers. In *Value, Price, and Profit*, Marx delves deeper into the mechanisms of capitalist economies, discussing the labor theory of value, the creation of surplus value, and the inherent exploitation of wage labor. Together, these texts offer a powerful critique of capitalism's structure and dynamics, providing readers with foundational insights into Marxist economics and the social implications of labor exploitation. This edition is an essential resource for anyone seeking to understand the theories that have shaped modern political and economic thought.
