Synopsis

The recession is biting hard so Emily and Oliver have decided to downsize and shift their middle-class London lifestyle to a small town in the north of England. They want to live, work and raise their two young children in a friendly community, among what Emily terms ‘real people’, away from the cold anonymity of the city.
These left-leaning, well-educated people have invited over two of their new neighbours in an attempt to break the ice. Tonight Alan and Dawn will be offered olives and anchovies and are introduced to Karl Marx and abstract art.
As classes and outlooks collide, the scene is set for a rendezvous with consequences as hilarious as they are tragic.

Rome, 78 BC. The ruler, Sulla, has just died, and professional mourners have been appointed to wail at his state funeral. But Sulla was hated by the poor and the working classes, and the wailers - led by Macu - threaten to strike, with dire consequences for them and for Macu's daughter...
Written in vivid, contemporary language, Chris Hannan's modern epic The Baby is about a polyglot, violent city at the heart of a divided nation.
The play was first produced at the Tron Theatre, Glasgow, in October 1990, directed by Michael Boyd.
'An epic play humanised by Hannan's concerns for the lives of ordinary people caught up in events seemingly beyond their control' The Times
'A period epic complete with all the trappings you would expect from the great Elizabethan and Jacobean classicists who wowed their audiences with heightened language, earth-shattering emotion, weighty moral dilemmas, lowbrow comedy and disturbing, bloody tragedy.' Scotland on Sunday
'Chris Hannan's new play explores love and the grief it can engender when marred by circumstances. And for the fullness of that grief, add in anger and guilt, distraction to the point of self-destruction, and bewildered hurt that makes flesh feel as if skin would burst, it is so uncontainable. The context is Ancient Rome but the issues are timeless and on-going... touching directly on any place or age where ordinary lives are wracked by power politics.' The Herald

When Heaven Intervenes in the World of Men
    (Author's Narration)
A prophetic voice for our age, A LeRoy crafts magical tales steeped in Biblical themes. The books in this collection combine otherworldly visions, leaps through time and space, and face-to-face encounters with the Almighty Himself.
But those encounters are made possible only by the loving interventions of Jesus, embodying his role as Friend and Intercessor before the throne of God. If you love the imaginings of C.S. Lewis, these stories will call to your heart.
    1. The Christmas Tree
A tree is torn from his forest home and all that he loves. All seems lost, until a little boy takes up his cause.
In the words of one reviewer, this story "packs more punch than 12 volumes of theological discourse" as LeRoy combines the traditional Christmas story with themes of death and resurrection, otherworldly revelation, and courage led by divine calling.
    2. The Prince's Oath
In this traditional Afghan tale, love will undergo many trials with God's help, even if it comes in the form of a cheeky little mouse!
    3. Obama's Dream
About to hand over the keys of empire to Donald Trump, Obama's dreams are troubled. But Heaven intervenes with two great angels sent to redeem him. That's if they can overcome Satan's campaign of accusation!
“Profound tales of hope that demand you listen to their wisdom.“
    Andrea L. Stoeckel, Rockinrev Review
"I recommend the audio adaptations read by the very talented author and actor, Abdiel LeRoy."
    William Mortensen Vaughan
"LeRoy has an active and practical understanding of the Christian Faith, and he is a gifted writer of parables that illustrate this."
    Landon Schultz, pastor

When is vengeance justified? And to what extent?
Adolf, an artist, is having martial problems with his independent wife Tekla. Meanwhile, Gustav, his friend, attempts to get Adolf to stand up for himself and "be the man of the house." But behind all of this superficial talk is a psychological war being waged on three fronts, and each party will do nearly anything to get their desires met. The only question now, is who will be the first to fall....
Join me in experiencing the first of many plays by August Strindberg this season, where we'll be exposed to various forms of existentialism, interpersonal dynamics, and the struggle for power amidst some light-hearted satire by Guy Wetmore Carryl. But for now, please, sit back, relax, and enjoy, "The Creditors."
