Two of the greatest science fiction classics of all time...in one collection! H.G. Wells (1866 -1946) - the master of the genre - created his "scientific romances" and set the standard for futuristic literature that teemed with both social commentary and a prescient view of the world to come. Here, we present "The Invisible Man" and "The War of the Worlds," two of the most popular and thrilling science fiction novels ever created...together in one volume! First, travel with a scientist named Griffin who develops an ingenious serum that can render people completely invisible. Taking it himself, Griffin begins a slow descent into insanity...and murder. Then...follow the Narrator as he describes the unthinkable: a deadly and terrifying invasion of Earth by the inhabitants of Mars. The Martians enjoy the advantage of superior technological advances combined with a ruthless desire to conquer humanity and enslave them. Can mankind survive? Enjoy these two classics by the "father of science fiction." This volume includes a brief biography of the author.

I'm stunned to learn my family's “inheritance” is servitude to an ancient, arrogant vampire. No thanks! Except now my friend might be his next meal, so I cut a deal: I’ll work for him—if he only drains the serial killers we catch.
I met my father exactly once—at a café in Transylvania. He went by the name "Renfield," scribbled in strange ledgers and muttered weirdly about “the master.”
Years later, I’m summoned to a remote castle in the Carpathian Mountains. Supposedly my father has left an inheritance.
    What could go wrong?
Try everything. My “inheritance” turns out to be a new career—or should I say forced servitude: I'm to take over for my father as the next in a long line of servants to an arrogant, centuries-old vampire named Alexandru.
    Hard pass.
Except Alexandru doesn’t take no for an answer. He follows me home to Ohio, where people I love are looking like dinner to him. To save them, I cut a deal: I’ll manage his vampire affairs—if he only feeds on people who deserve it.
    Serial killers, to be exact.
Now my spreadsheets and his hunting skills have one goal: catch murderers before Alexandru loses control.
But surviving the killer might be the easy part, because even though Alexandru is a monster who sees humans as livestock, nothing in my life has prepared me for his dark magnetism...

When 28-year-old Clara Morrison inherits her estranged grandmother’s crumbling Victorian house in the rural town of Ash Hollow, she expects dust, decay, and decades of silence. What she doesn’t expect is the doll an eerily pristine porcelain figure seated upright in an antique crib in the attic, with glassy blue eyes that seem to follow her every move. At first, Clara assumes it’s just a relic of her grandmother’s peculiar tastes. But then, the whispers begin soft murmurs at night in a voice that doesn’t belong to anyone living. Objects shift when no one is near. And dreams bleed into reality, filled with flickering candlelight, chanting, and a name she doesn't remember learning: "Annarose." As the town's dark past unravels—stories of missing children, seances gone wrong, and a dollmaker who vanished without a trace Clara begins to suspect that her grandmother was part of something much more sinister. The doll, it turns out, is not just haunted. It’s alive. And it remembers everything. Now Clara must uncover the truth behind the doll’s origin and her family's involvement before she becomes the next soul trapped in porcelain.

The Return of Sherlock Holmes is a collection of 13 Sherlock Holmes stories, originally published in 1903-1904, by Arthur Conan Doyle. The stories were published in the Strand Magazine in Great Britain, and Collier's in the United States.
The book was first published in February 1905 by McClure, Phillips & Co. (New York) then on 7 March 1905 by Georges Newnes, Ltd. (London) and was the first Holmes collection since 1893, when Holmes had "died" in "The Final Problem". Having published The Hound of the Baskervilles in 1901–1902, which was set before Holmes' "death", Doyle came under intense pressure to revive his famous character. The first story is set in 1894 and has Holmes returning in London and explaining the period from 1891–1894, a period called "The Great Hiatus" by Sherlockian enthusiasts. Also of note is Watson's statement in the last story of the cycle that Holmes has retired, and forbids him to publish any more stories.
