Sinopse

Brontë Falls is a crime story like no other. Exciting, suspenseful and intensely funny it follows the brutal crimes of a copycat serial killer, punctuated by the amusing goings-on of a very odd Yorkshire precinct.
Detective Inspector Charles Brontë, long-suffering, irreverent but effective is on the case along with tough-cookie, Sergeant Jennifer Pepper.
Brontë, ready for retirement is most certainly not ready for a vicious psychopath moving onto his beloved patch, slaying locals Willy-Nilly whilst posing and displaying their dead, mutilated bodies in the villages of the Yorkshire Moors.
Initially Brontë and Pepper struggle to make a connection between the murderer and the victims, making the likelihood of a successful arrest out of reach. It is only with the help from unexpected quarters: an outlaw biker gang, a coven of witches and an American newspaper hack, that Brontë and Pepper can get anywhere near to the gruesome truth... and gruesome is what the truth really is. You will really enjoy this book it is a good fun exciting thriller with a twist and turns and certainly unexpected ending.

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice. Do the dead ever revisit this earth?

On this subject even the ponderous and unsentimental Dr. Johnson was of opinion that to maintain they did not, was to oppose the concurrent and unvarying testimony of all ages and nations, as there was no people so barbarous, and none so civilized, but among whom apparitions of the dead were related and believed in. "That which is doubted by single cavillers," he adds, "can very little weaken the general evidence, and some who deny it with their tongues confess it by their fears."

In the August of last year I found myself with three friends, when on a northern tour, at the Hotel de Scandinavie, in the long and handsome Carl Johan Gade of Christiana. A single day, or little more, had sufficed us to "do" all the lions of the little Norwegian capital--the royal palace, a stately white building, guarded by slouching Norski riflemen in long coats, with wide-awakes and green plumes; the great brick edifice wherein the Storthing is held, and where the red lion appears on everything, from the king's throne to the hall-porter's coal-scuttle; the castle of Aggerhuis and its petty armoury, with a single suit of mail, and the long muskets of the Scots who fell at Rhomsdhal; after which there is nothing more to be seen; and when the little Tivoli gardens close at ten, all Christiana goes to sleep till dawn next morning.

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice. They have survived betrayal, exposure, and a war beneath the ice. After exposing a global conspiracy, former MARSOC Marine Derek Riley and anthropologist Dr. Susan Parker thought they could vanish into the mountains and start over. But evil doesn't rest, and it never forgets. When children begin vanishing from a remote area of the Navajo reservation, Derek and Susan are pulled back into a world of supernatural terror and shadow warfare. As the walls close in, a government assassin hunts them across borders, and a hacker stumbles onto a blueprint for global extinction. What follows is a breakneck mission across oceans and continents, culminating in a final stand where science meets the supernatural, and the future of the world hangs by a thread.

Some truths were never meant to be uncovered. Some enemies were never meant to be fought.

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice.
A revolutionary energy device promises to change civilization forever—but some discoveries are too powerful to enter the world unchallenged.

Jaxson Rader and his trusted team have achieved what conventional science said could not be done. Their invention could provide abundant energy, reshape economies, end dependence on dwindling resources, and transform life across the planet. It could also destabilize governments, threaten powerful industries, and become a weapon in the wrong hands.

As evidence of clandestine interest begins to emerge, the team realizes that someone is watching—and may already be moving to seize control of their work. With their safety, their freedom, and perhaps the future of humanity at risk, they make a desperate choice: hide the truth and convince the world that the experiment has failed.

But the device has not failed.

Removed from public view, it becomes the foundation for an even more astonishing discovery—one that turns Jaxson’s attention from the struggle for power on Earth toward a mystery reaching across the universe.

The Jaxson Rader Chronicles, Book Two: Two Worlds—The Opening is a story of discovery, danger, courage, and the moment when humanity’s greatest invention opens a path no one imagined.

THE INCIDENT AT FIVES CASTLE (Book 5)
It is Hogmanay, and Angela Marchmont is at Fives Castle, the Scottish seat of the Earl of Strathmerrick, to see in the start of 1928. But when she finds out that the Foreign Secretary, the American Ambassador and the Head of British Intelligence are also among the guests, Angela begins to suspect that something momentous is afoot. Before long, they are all snowed in and a body is discovered, and Angela soon finds suspicion directed against herself...
THE IMBROGLIO AT THE VILLA POZZI (Book 6)
While holidaying in Italy, Angela Marchmont is persuaded to postpone her trip to Venice and go to Stresa instead, to investigate a pair of spiritualists who are suspected of defrauding some of the town’s English residents out of their money. But what starts out as a minor matter swiftly becomes more serious when one of the residents in question is found dead in the beautiful gardens of his home, having apparently committed suicide. Seduced by the heady sights and scents of the Italian Lakes, and distracted by an unexpected encounter with an old adversary who seems bent on provoking her, Angela sets out to find out the truth of the affair and resume her journey to Venice before she forgets herself and loses her head—and her heart.
