Synopsis

The school bell rang, it was the start of the summer holidays, and everyone ran out of school really happy.
Teresa ran out of the school and down to the beach very fast, while Naomi and Melissa chaste after her, caught her up on the beach, and started teasing her.
Melissa: look at her dorky hairstyle.
Naomi: Yes, and her dorky brace, goofy teeth, and square clothes.
They laughed at her and teased her and then grabbed her and throw her into the sea with all her clothes and schoolwork. The girls ran off.
Teresa: Please help me I can't swim.
But no one could hear her screaming. Until suddenly a mermaid rescued her and bought her back to shore and disappeared again.
Teresa looked around confused as to how she managed to get back safely, she was dripping wet and cold and picked up her school stuff.
Suddenly she saw a glowing within the caves that she thought was fire, so she went in to investigate.
She thought I wonder what this strange but welcoming glow is.
As she got into the caves she heard a voice,
Who are you and what are you doing?
Teresa: My name is Teresa and I have come in here to dry up and get warm.
Suddenly a mirror appeared before her eyes and a spirit walked out.
Spirit: I am the mirror's soul and I command you to look in the mirror.
Teresa looked in the mirror and to her shock she was beautiful.
Teresa: Oh, my Goodness I'm beautiful.
Spirit: Yes, you are but not beautiful enough to be able to unlock the treasure yet.
Teresa: Stop teasing me, there's no treasure and I'm not beautiful.
She runs out all confused.
A week later a new girl called Janice had moved into the street, her appearance was appalling to the eye; she had a big birth defect growing on her cheek. But she had a beautiful heart.
That day Teresa went down to the beach and saw Melissa and Naomi picking on Janice.
Teresa: what are you doing?
Naomi: We are picking on this ugly-looking girl.
Melissa: And if you join in, we promise we will leave you alone.

Jamestown is fondly remembered today for being the first permanent English settlement in the colonies, but it was not fondly remembered by those who lived and died there. The English quickly learned it would be difficult to establish a permanent settlement because of the poor weather, the swampy terrain, the hostile natives living nearby, and the general inexperience and ineptitude of the English settlers. During their first winter, everyone nearly starved, and more than half of the settlers died. By the end of the winter of 1609-1610, known as the “starving time”, barely 10% of the settlers were still alive. Nevertheless, Jamestown is remembered today because the settlement did survive through the hardships and go on to serve as the capital of the English colony for much of the 17th century. At the same time, one of the biggest reasons for its survival and fame today can be attributed to the local Native Americans, particularly Pocahontas, who has added both a human and romanticized, mythological element to Jamestown.
Along with Jamestown and Yorktown, Colonial Williamsburg is known today as part of the Historic Triangle of Virginia, but all three of these old Virginian sites are known for vastly different reasons. While Yorktown was the scene of the final climactic battle of the American Revolution and Jamestown is remembered for being the first English settlement to survive in Virginia, Colonial Williamsburg is now best known as a bridge to the past.
Williamsburg got its start as a fortified site, which was vitally necessary for English settlers to heavily outnumbered by nearby Native Americans, many of which were at times hostile. Known originally as Middle Plantation, the site served as the capital of the colony for much of the 18th century, and it bore witness to seminal events in the history of Revolutionary era America.

The massively popular 1990 novel Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton and its subsequent movie adaptations led to a huge resurgence in interest in dinosaurs and the prehistoric world. That interest continues to the present day, even though most of the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park weren’t actually from the Jurassic period. Triceratops, Velociraptor, Tyrannosaurus Rex and the huge sauropods such as Brachiosaurus that feature in the book and movies all actually belong to the Late Cretaceous period, more than 40 million years after the end of the Jurassic. Regardless, the movie made certain kinds of dinosaurs instantly recognizable, even if associated with the wrong era.
Thanks to the movie, there has been some unwitting confusion over the identity of the Velociraptor, and this confusion was due in large part to the fact the name sounds far more scary than the creature to which the name originally belonged. Moreover, the creature to which the label was applied in the novel and movie was actually a distant cousin named Deinonychus, but as the story goes, the author, Michael Crichton, thought “Velociraptor” sounded “more dramatic.” The actual Velociraptor lived not in the badlands of North America, but in the badlands of central-eastern Asia, and it was not nearly as intimidating as Deinonychus. In fact, the main species of genus Velociraptor - Velociraptor mongoliensis - was no bigger than a turkey. Thus, in a very real sense, the Velociraptor has taken on a larger-than-life reputation.
