Synopsis

It's been four years since the events of The Timing of Maria unfolded. Much of the gang have moved to Michigan. Maria is now 14 and entering a new, private high school. Luke and Becca are engaged and very much in love. Their romance seems perfect and lasting, but will a violent criminal under protective custody, preparing to rat out his former trafficker buddies, bring trouble not only to Michigan but also to the perfect romance? 
Is the dashing new Federal agent a friend or foe? Is he a playboy, a bad boy, or just a flat-out traitor? Will the chaos in Michigan affect the outcome of the trial in Texas that's set to shut down the traffickers for good, locking up the leaders for life? Or will everything work out in the end? 
The drama is interstate and international. There are multiple couples with various dynamics. Which lady is on the gone side of the fence? And is it only one?
