Synopsis

"Wyndham Towers" by Thomas Bailey Aldrich is a story written in verse. Aldrich's method, when recasting the poem, was more or less influenced by the poets he had been studying—chiefly the dramatists of the Elizabethan era. Thomas Bailey Aldrich was an American writer, poet, critic, and editor. Through his expertise in literature, he was able to weave a compelling tale using one of the most notoriously difficult mediums, poetry.

'Where are the grown-ups to do something, where are the grown-ups in this story?'
Three countries. Three teenagers. One average, life-altering day.
A young man battles with feelings of love and violence. Another is stuck with the image of someone being pushed from a rooftop. And a girl must choose between her friends and her conscience.
Natives is a rallying cry to a generation of unlikely heroes, and celebrates coming of age online in a chaotic world. It premiered at Southwark Playhouse in March 2017, produced by Boundless Theatre and directed by Rob Drummer.

On a frosty winter evening, the Baron watches the snow fall. He is bored and worried. It will soon be Christmas and everything is too quiet. What can he do to bring excitement to the Manor?
His wife, the Baroness, has an idea: he can appoint a King of Christmas, a peasant to take his place. And so begin twelve days of chaos, anarchy and merriment . . .
Inspired by the medieval tradition of appointing a Lord of Misrule, Carol Ann Duffy's warm and enchanting Christmas poem takes us into a topsy-turvy world of festivity and celebration, where rules no longer apply. With beautiful full-colour illustrations by Lara Hawthorne throughout, The King of Christmas is the perfect gift this festive season.
