Synopsis

Sophie Meyers is the second daughter of Alpha parents. On the night of her sister’s 18th birthday, Sophie is excited when her sister finds her mate. However, her world comes crashing down when her parents send her to her room, forcing her to leave the party before she’s ready. Angry and confused, Sophie watches as her sister’s mate claims her in front of everyone at the party, including her parents who allow it. When Sophie realizes that this is a common practice, she runs, swearing she will never accept a mate.Hunter Reynolds is an Alpha that disagrees with the outdated ways that the packs claim their mates. It goes back to medieval times when royalty was required to have witnesses on their wedding night to prove that the woman was no longer a virgin and that the man could perform his duty as a husband.Hunter stumbles across his mate, who has been living on her own as a rogue. He has no idea that she is the same Alpha wolf that he met at a party two years ago. All he knows is that she is his. However, he’s devastated when she rejects him without hesitation and races off to escape him. When Hunter finally catches up with Sophie, he will have to convince her that he doesn’t agree with the way that the packs expect a public claiming of their mates. When she finally accepts him and allows him to mark her, they will face the backlash of his pack as well as other packs who refuse to accept Sophie as a Luna, insisting that Hunter claim her publicly. Will the mate bond be strong enough to withstand a centuries old process? Can the two of them, together, change the laws for claiming at mate?
