Summary

Joe Blaine is an average young man, but after a series of catastrophic events unfolds in his life, his world becomes forever changed. Launched into a perilous journey he never would have chosen—but one he sorely needs—Joe learns the true value of struggle in a time when everyone would deem it pointless. In Joe’s world, gone are the days of a typical coming-of-age story, as society obscures truth and abuses its people. Instead, Joe is forced through adversity to take an honest look at himself and reconcile all his actions and inactions with the Man he sees staring back at him. As a result, Joe discovers that what seems like mere chance or inevitability is in reality the intersection of the deliberate actions of others and the guiding hand of Providence.

Fast-paced, action-packed, and thought-provoking, The Man in the Mirror takes the reader on an adventure along with Joe as he not only learns the truth about his society but also takes control of his own life. Antelope Hill Publishing is proud to present Mark Time’s first novel, The Man in the Mirror, a bold contribution to the world of dissident fiction.

This enforcer keeps a tight leash on his emotions, until love unleashes him.

As an enforcer for the Lykosium, it's Kit's job to ensure the Were secret is safe, which is how he meets Penelope "Poppy" Smith. She's a woman with secrets who flinches at shadows, and he doesn't like that one bit—especially since she is his mate.

Not that he's about to join himself to anyone. Mistakes don't deserve someone special like her.

Poppy isn't keen on helping Kit identify the man in her past who captured and abused her. She's still reliving that torture in her nightmares, but how can she move forward unless she faces her past?

She agrees to help, partially because she knows Kit's her mate, even if he refuses to accept it. It's been a while since she's had to deploy her womanly wiles. If they fail, she can always resort to home cooking to change a stubborn fox's mind.

Accepting two broken people can have love isn't the only battle they'll face. When the past returns to threaten, they'll have to trust each other if they're going to survive.

In Book One of the Plowed Fields trilogy, we met Joe Baker and his large family as a rare white Christmas descended on their South Georgia farm. It was 1960, and the family seemed poised on the brink of a grand experience in the years to come.
As the decade progresses, the Bakers see their fortunes rise and fall, beginning with an illness that shakes the family at its very core. Prosperity comes calling when it’s least expected, but a harrowing ordeal forces a reckoning with faith that nearly shatters the family.
In Book Two of this three-part novel in episodes, Joe and his family give us an intimate portrayal of the farming life. They also encounter more unexpected turmoil with their friends and neighbors, including Lucas Bartholomew, Bobby Taylor and Sheriff Paul Berrien, stoking the conflict that will bring the family face-to-face with fire and famine, war and peace, and good and evil.
Amid a severe drought, this mesmerizing family saga builds to an exciting climax as one violent act leads Joe to mete out his own vicious brand of retribution. Ultimately, the Bakers will need an act of daring and courage to save them from utter ruin.
In Plowed Fields, author Jim Barber has created a place and characters that feel like home and family. The pages drip with the sweat, grime and grit of field work, the bone-tired stress of trying to make ends meet and a passion for life in this magnificent story of one’s family’s search for belonging. Book Two will leave you eager to for the conclusion of the Plowed Fields trilogy.

At Honey Mama request, Keke goes undercover as Brandy to find the truth before political pressures shut the progressive club down for good. Even more explosive, Keke’s persistence is putting her at odds with Drew, now a police detective working this case … and the secrets she herself can no longer hide.

Now with the clock fast ticking down, Keke must tantalize the killer with the one lure he—or she—can’t resist. But using fantasy as a trap could put more than her pursuit of justice on the line—it risks ending her career and life for good …

'I absolutely loved this book!' Maxine Morrey
Daisy’s life is going nowhere, but that’s just how she likes it.
Unable to move on from the tragic accident that killed her parents ten years ago, she’s living each day as it comes. After all, what’s the point of plans and dreams if one random event can rip them all from you? She’s quite comfortable with her dead-end job and her lacklustre love life, thank you.
When she and her sister inherit a run-down café from a distant relative, her first instinct is to sell it. She doesn’t know anything about running a business, so the idea of taking it on and trying to turn it around is way too much of a risk. However, chef Matt has other ideas, and it’s not long before his infectious passion for the place starts to rub off on her.
Will she be able to save the café, or will the café end up saving her?
A feel-good romance perfect for fans of Catherine Walsh, Milly Johnson and Sophie Kinsella.
