Synopsis

Katapult is a fast-moving, cautionary tale about Kat, the daughter of a wealthy Canadian businessman whose involvement in the Iran Contra Affair shapes her life in ways she can’t escape. By the time she’s thirty-five, she’s lived nine different lives, taken five names, and seen the darkest sides of humanity. Her story spans the highs of wealth, the dangers of arms deals, and the complex world of being an escort. Along the way, she struggles with addiction, abuse, love, and loss. In the end, she turns to Orthodox Judaism, searching for meaning in a life defined by chaos. 
Through it all, Kat’s resilience and determination to survive paint a portrait of a woman who refuses to let life's harshest lessons define her. Lucky to be alive, this is her raw, unflinching story—a cautionary tale about the cost of recklessness, the search for meaning, and the struggle to find oneself.
