Summary

Most of mathematics is presented in this book, starting from the basic and elementary concepts to probing the more complex and advanced areas.Mathematics is approached both from a theoretical point of view, expounding theorems and definitions of each particular type, and on a practical level, going on to solve more than 1,000 exercises. The approach to mathematics is given by progressive knowledge, exposing the various chapters in a logical order so that the reader can build a continuous path in the study of that science. The entire book is divided into three distinct sections: elementary mathematics, the advanced mathematics given by analysis and geometry, and finally the part concerning statistics, algebra and logic. The writing stands as an all-inclusive work concerning mathematics, leaving out no aspect of the many facets it can take on.

Dolphins have always been remarkably friendly and social with humans. They are warm-blooded mammals just like humans. Play is an important part of dolphins' lives, and they often play with seaweed or other dolphins, seabirds and turtles. Dolphins also seem to enjoy riding waves and frequently surf coastal swells. Dolphins are attracted to music and produce unique audible sounds themselves. Many find these dolphin conversations both relaxing and even healing. This audio sequence offers over half an hour of gentle ocean music and intermittent dolphin conversations audible throughout this track. Let these wonderful sea creatures remind you of the beauty and harmony of our natural world and help you with meditation, relaxation or transition into deep sleep.

Much has been written about the Space Race, which is still taught across America today, but the story of human space exploration is mostly one of cooperation. Even in the summer of 1969, the Soviets had given the United States the flight plan for its Luna 15 mission, allowing Apollo 11 to avoid it.
That was the first of many examples of cooperation in space between the United States and the Soviet Union during the Cold War, and ultimately, their research and cooperation helped lead to the construction of the International Space Station (ISS), a large space station assembled in Earth’s orbit that represents the most ambitious international space project in history.
Thanks to the various components that have been put together, the International Space Station is bigger and brighter than all other artificial satellites. With relatively low power magnification, people can see the solar panels radiating outward from the numerous international modules which make up the ISS. The reality of that platform, at the edge of the ocean of space, is pretty astounding when looked at from the perspective of history. Only 120 years ago, mankind did not know if it was possible to fly in a heavier-than-air vehicle. Constructed with over 30 different modules and pieces that were carried into orbit by dozens of different launches, the ISS is already over 150 feet long, 300 feet wide and 60 feet tall. Astronauts from 10 nations have spent time on the space station as long-term crew.
In addition, the International Space Station can truly be held as a sign that the Space Age is maturing quite nicely, at least on a social and personal level. A total of 34 women have visited the space station, eight tourists have paid for the privilege of taking the trip to the station, and there have been many who have made multiple trips to the ISS.

    Einstein's Shadow - A Black Hole...

Einstein’s Shadow follows a team of elite scientists on their historic mission to take the first picture of a black hole, putting Einstein’s theory of relativity to its ultimate test and helping to answer our deepest questions about space, time, the origins of the universe, and the nature of reality.
Photographing a black hole sounds impossible, a contradiction in terms. But Shep Doeleman and a global coalition of scientists are on the cusp of doing just that.
With exclusive access to the team, journalist Seth Fletcher spent five years following Shep and an extraordinary cast of characters as they assembled the Event Horizon Telescope, a virtual radio observatory the size of the Earth. He witnessed their struggles, setbacks, and breakthroughs, and along the way, he explored the latest thinking on the most profound questions about black holes. Do they represent a limit to our ability to understand reality? Or will they reveal the clues that lead to the long-sought Theory of Everything?
Fletcher transforms astrophysics into something exciting, accessible, and immediate, taking us on an incredible adventure to better understand the complexity of our galaxy, the boundaries of human perception and knowledge, and how the messy human endeavor of science really works.
Weaving a compelling narrative account of human ingenuity with excursions into cutting-edge science, Einstein’s Shadow is a tale of great minds on a mission to change the way we understand our universe—and our place in it.
