Synopsis

Thermal maps are important tools for understanding and analyzing danger zones within the aviation environment, especially during emergencies, aircraft fires, and airport incidents. They are based on showing the distribution of temperatures in a specific area, so that hotter and cooler zones appear visually in a way that helps the commander or emergency team read the scene quickly. 
In aviation incidents, thermal maps help identify the source of heat, the direction of its spread, and the areas that may pose a threat to passengers, firefighters, or rescue teams. They can also be used to understand smoke movement, predict the path of fire spread, and choose the best point of attack or the safest approach route to the incident site. 
Thermal maps become even more important when visibility is poor because of smoke, darkness, or chaos at the scene, as they give emergency teams a clearer picture of what cannot be seen with the naked eye. Through this reading, the commander can make faster and more accurate decisions, whether in evacuation, directing firefighting teams, or protecting sensitive areas inside or around the aircraft. 
Therefore, thermal maps are not merely a technical tool; they are a tool of awareness and decision-making, helping transform hidden heat into clear information that can be relied upon during aviation emergency management.
