Synopsis

Drones in firefighting are modern tools that have changed the way fire scenes are observed and managed. They provide the fire commander with an aerial eye capable of monitoring fire spread, tracking smoke movement, identifying hot spots, and detecting dangerous areas that ground teams may not be able to reach safely. Through thermal cameras and live video transmission systems, drones help create an accurate picture of the scene, supporting faster decision-making and reducing risks for firefighters. 
Their role is not limited to observation only; they can also be used in search and rescue, damage assessment, team guidance, and monitoring the effectiveness of fire attack operations from above. In major fires, industrial incidents, or high-rise building fires, drones become a critical tool for understanding the scene before approaching it, transforming command from delayed reaction into proactive leadership based on vision and analysis.
