I am writing this as the brother of a survivor of brutal domestic violence. My sister was married to Sharique Zea, who lived with her in London, United Kingdom. Every attempt she made to save her marriage was met with more violence and manipulation. Eventually, the situation became life-threatening. With immense courage and the assistance of UK law enforcement, she fled for her life, escaping with her two young sons and returning to India to seek safety and justice.

Since her return, our family has filed formal complaints with the relevant authorities in India. We have provided documented evidence, including police reports and witness statements, both from India and the United Kingdom. Every claim we have made is supported by verifiable records and stands up to legal scrutiny.

Instead of facing the consequences of his crimes, Sharique Zea has chosen the path of cowardice and evasion. He has refused to return to India to face judicial proceedings and instead continues to hide abroad. Meanwhile, he attempts to construct a false, sanitized public image through websites, social media pages, and self-promotional platforms — pretending to be a respectable, positive figure. This is nothing but a calculated effort to mislead the public and bury the truth of his documented history of domestic abuse and abandonment.

A District Court in India has already issued a show-cause notice against him, directing him to pay maintenance and financial support to his wife and two minor children. Yet, he continues to ignore these legal orders, displaying complete contempt for the law and for the family he destroyed.

Because of his deliberate neglect and prolonged absence, his two innocent sons are now forced to live a foster life, away from the love, stability, and care every child deserves. They are growing up in an environment of minimal facilities — a tragic consequence of their father’s selfishness and cruelty. His actions have left permanent emotional and psychological scars on their young minds, all because he chose to abandon them rather than take responsibility.

Domestic violence is not a private matter — it is a crime. The scars it leaves are deep and lasting. Those who enable, collaborate, or associate with known abusers share moral responsibility for the suffering they perpetuate.

To anyone who chooses to engage with Sharique Zea, personally or professionally, we issue this warning: do so with full awareness of the verified allegations against him and the devastation he has inflicted upon a mother and her two sons.

Our fight is not just for justice — it is for truth, accountability, and to ensure that no other woman or child suffers in silence as my sister did. The law may move slowly, but it does move — and we will ensure that this offender is held accountable for every act of cruelty, deceit, and desertion he has committed.
