Beschreibung

Shelby Wilkes has never let her curves—or anyone else—define her. Fierce, confident, and unapologetic, she’s built walls high enough to keep every man out. Safer that way. After all, she’s turned love into a game before—and no one has ever been worth the risk of losing. Then she meets Aaron Davis. Sexy. Charming. A fighter. The kind of man she swore she’d never fall for. To Shelby, fighters mean violence, danger, heartbreak. But Aaron is different. There’s a darkness in him, yes—but also a strength, a steady pull she can’t resist. And when he looks at her, it feels like he sees past all her defenses… straight to the fragile heart she’s tried to hide.Shelby knows letting him in could be the biggest mistake of her life. But what if it’s also the best?Because sometimes the fight worth winning… is love.

    Title: What the Moon Brings
    Author: H. P. Lovecraft
    Narrator: Jonathan Dunne
    Original Publication: 1923
    Public Domain: Yes
Series Placement: Number 28 in the Timeless Terrors series
    Description:
What the Moon Brings by H. P. Lovecraft is a brief but deeply atmospheric descent into dreamlike horror — a meditation on beauty, decay, and the terrible revelations that emerge beneath moonlight. In a garden transformed by night, the narrator glimpses visions of strange waters, drifting lilies, and a ghastly secret rising from the depths.
Blurring the line between dream and nightmare, Lovecraft conjures an imagery of surreal dread and poetic decay, revealing horror not in what is shouted, but in what is quietly seen. This early tale exemplifies Lovecraft’s fascination with the unseen cosmos of the subconscious — where the familiar becomes alien under the moon’s cold gaze.
Narrated by Amazon bestselling horror author Jonathan Dunne, this performance captures the story’s nocturnal rhythm and unsettling lyricism — a whispered journey through shadow and revelation. While the text itself is in the public domain, this narration is an original performance and copyright © 2025 Jonathan Dunne.
Part of Timeless Terrors, a series dedicated to reviving the haunting classics of horror and the uncanny, What the Moon Brings stands as a dream-fragment of cosmic dread and delicate madness — a moment where the beauty of the world turns upon itself and shows its true, terrible face.
Prepare for a tale of moonlit decay and spectral wonder, where night reveals more than the waking mind can endure.

"I never said I did, Gabriel," said Blake Alexander, "everyone is accusing me of fighting with her but she started the scuffle messed up herself attacked me and screamed I was attacking her on a crime scene."
"I believe you!" said the lawyer.
"I pay you to believe me," said Blake gruffly
"and yet I still believe you," said Gabriel.
"thank you no one else does," said Blake.
"Jnr does too we'll help clear your name," said Gabriel.
"thank you," said Blake not putting much hope in the help.
"Who called for a delivery of chicken," shouted
snr after he saw Gabriel in his masked chicken suit at the door.
"Hilarious Lance, where is jnr?" said the Chicken.
"I had an idea to clear your grandad's name," said the chicken.
    "what is it?" asked Jnr.
"I need some help I found out where the woman who accused Blake of attacking her goes dancing and I need your help," said the chicken.
"Hello do you want to dance?" a handsome young man ask a lonely wallflower sitting watching the dancers.
"Yes thank you, sir," replied Fiona Lambert standing up.
They walked to the dance floor and waltzed.
