Synopsis

“[A] charming follow-up to . . . A Girl and Her Gator . . . Outstanding in its simplicity, the story conveys an important message in an unassuming manner.” —School Library Journal

When a bear named Mack wakes up with a boy on his back, we know instantly that we’re back in the droll and sweetly wacky world created by Sean Bryan and Tom Murphy in their first two highly successful picture books about a bunny-wearing boy and his sister Claire, who wakes up with a gator on her hair.

Like A Boy and His Bunny and A Girl and Her Gator, this new picture book will entertain young children and their parents, and put smiles on the faces of their grandparents too.

“A gleefully ludicrous book.” —Child

Praise for A Boy and His Bunny

“Likely to tickle many a preschool listener’s ribs . . . [a] cousin of David Small’s Imogene’s Antlers.” —Kirkus Reviews

“The rhymes and simple pictures, with strong, witty lines, keep it burbling along, until a nice surprise ending.” —Chicago Tribune

“In this amiable frippery about a bad hare day, a boy wakes up ‘with a bunny on his head’ . . . Debut author Bryan’s silly rhymes and first-time children’s book artist Murphy’s effortless doodles imply that readers might invent more bunny-on-your-head activities, while the parent-child conversation implies that kid couture need not be cause for alarm.” —Publishers Weekly

My friends and I knew before we got to Arches National Park that it's full of red cliffs arches, and rock formations -- plenty of places for hiking, biking, and getting lost. It's a good thing there are park rangers and guides to help tourist like us find our way. Or at east that's what we thought, until of the guilds left for a second to investigate some noise, and never came back. It seems unlikely that a respected tour guide who knows the area like the back of her hand could just get lose. Something's fishy. And you can bet I'm going to get to the bottom of this before I find my way home.

He’s not just a normal boy—he has a secret. During the summer he walks and talks as a human, but when the cold comes, he runs with his pack as a wolf. Grace has spent years watching the wolves in the woods behind her house—but never dreamed that she would fall in love with one of them. Linger tells the story of Sam and Grace’s struggle to stay together, and the dangerous secret Grace must keep from everyone, including her parents. In Forever, wolves are being hunted, which means the stakes are even higher for Grace and Sam and the wolf pack. With Sinner comes the long awaited story of Cole, a wolf wrestling with his own demons, and his attempt to win back Isabel Culper For Grace, Sam, and Cole and Isabel, life is harrowing and euphoric, enticing and alarming. As their world falls apart, love is what lingers. But can it be enough? “Beautiful and moving.” —School Library Journal on Shiver This sequel’s poetic prose skillfully captures the four teens’ longings for love, forgetting, remembering, righting wrongs and life itself.” —Kirkus Reviews on Linger
