They came for his family. Now he’s coming for them. 
Max Havok had the perfect life: a beautiful wife, twin daughters, and a thriving business built from scratch. He was a good man. A family man. But that’s not who he’d always been.  
For twenty years, he kept the door locked on a violent past—a past where he’d learned the only justice that mattered was the kind you took for yourself. 
On an ordinary Wednesday night, that locked door is blown off its hinges. A brutal home invasion destroys his world; a tragedy the police dismiss as a burglary gone wrong. But one detail cuts through the fog of loss: the strange, inconsolable grief of his next-door neighbor, a man who’d barely spoken to them before. 
It doesn't add up, and when Max seeks an answer, he only uncovers more questions. Stonewalled by an investigation that feels like a cover-up, he soon discovers that his search for answers has made him the target of people with power, resources, and a network of killers at their disposal.
