Sinopsis

Dark Grief Lifts explores how community support and rituals can transform the experience of loss into a journey of healing and renewed strength. It addresses the isolation often felt in contemporary society by reexamining historical and religious traditions of collective mourning. The book posits that engaging in meaningful rituals and community support can alleviate the burden of grief, fostering resilience.

Did you know that some cultures traditionally hold elaborate wakes lasting several days to honor the deceased and provide communal support for the bereaved? Or that structured mourning rituals often serve to reintegrate individuals back into social life after a period of intense grief?

This book uniquely integrates historical analyses, psychological research, and religious perspectives to offer a comprehensive understanding of grief. It begins by establishing a theoretical framework, then delves into historical and cultural contexts of mourning practices, and finally analyzes the psychological benefits of community support and ritual engagement. By understanding how various religious traditions and societal structures frame loss, the book offers practical strategies for creating and participating in contemporary mourning rituals, emphasizing spiritual healing and coping with grief effectively.

God Wants to Help You Overcome Your Greatest Battle of All
What we think and believe determines who we are. If that’s so, then why are we so insecure, defensive, lonely, empty, fearful, depressed, self-absorbed, dysfunctional, angry and confused? We are a mess. But that’s not what God has in mind for us.
In fact, the Master has hope, strength, beauty, joy, love, creativity, freedom, power, peace, patience, goodness, laughter, organization, effectiveness and purpose for us. So, what went wrong?
We lost our identity in our sin. We’ve become unanchored, tossed about on the sea of a million influences, none of which is our Master’s heart or mind. Between the world, the flesh and the devil, we don’t know what to think and therefore our lives are filled with hurt, pain and regret. Someone is running the show in our minds and it’s not us, at least not the real us, nor the real owner.
Jesus is not okay with this. He died to save us from our sins and set us free. He made a way for our souls to be rescued from our enemies. He bought the territory of our minds and planted His flag of holy ground.
It’s time for us to get angry enough to take back control of our minds, to master them and bring them back in alignment with the Master’s will. It’s time to return to The Master’s Mind.

The Masonic legend of the building of Solomon's Temple does not in every particular parallel the Scriptural version, especially in those portions relating to CHiram Abiff. According to the Biblical account, this Master workman returned to his own country; in the Masonic allegory he is foully murdered. On this point A. E. Waite, in his New Encyclopædia of Freemasonry, makes the following explanatory comment:
"The legend of the Master-Builder is the great allegory of Masonry. It happens that his figurative story is grounded on the fact of a personality mentioned in Holy Scripture, but this historical background is of the accidents and not the essence; the significance is in the allegory and not in any point of history which may lie behind it."
