Synopsis

Henry Gill, is returning to his old club [that he claims wrongfully kicked him out] with the new team he has formed. 
The problem is, his old team are a very established, private members, league team, that fields semi-professionals; Henry's new team have been formed and named after his local pub "The Jolly Grog Pub Cricket Team." 
The players are locals in the pub and most have no interest in Cricket at all, but are persuaded to play by Henry, probably on the promise of free ale and food. The team does include a very enthusiastic young lady, Eighteen-year-old Daisy, who is very determined to take on the better teams, but she is constantly frustrated by her ego centrical captain Henry's old-school outlook and deluded view of his own abilities. 
Henry is brought quickly back down to reality, when his old team 'South Downton' announce they are fielding an Australian proffesional "Bruce Dix" who bowls 80MPH "Thunder Bolts!" 
The team, particularly Henry's best friend Paul, who is a novice cricketer and pacifist, are frightened to death that they will not only be humiliated but potentially hurt by the fast bowler and fear runs through 'The Jolly Grog' changing room and the pub team are clearly out of their depth. 
Henry has a secret weapon though, a surprise professional of his own...
