Synopsis

This is no childrens' book! This books main character is a "lad" but the written story is an extremely vivid adult narrative, and is narrated as such by the narrator. Film versions of this book have watered this down, but the original book as narrated here, pulled no punches. This swashbuckling tale of pirates, fabulous buried treasure, and the adventures of the lad Jim Hawkins on land and the high seas, is one of the great stories in English literature.
