Sinossi

A recent Pew Forum survey revealed the startling statistic that 69% of Catholics do not believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. For the majority of Catholics today, the Eucharist is merely a symbol of Christ, and the Mass is merely a collectivity of like-minded individuals gathering to remember his life.  This indicates a spiritual disaster, for the Eucharist is “the source and summit of the Christian life.” In response to this crisis, Bishop Robert Barron, then the Chair of the Committee on Evangelization and Catechesis for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, began working with his brother bishops on a solution. From these conversations, the National Eucharistic Revival was born. This Is My Body: A Call to Eucharistic Revival is designed to accompany that revival. In this brief but illuminating text, Bishop Barron offers a threefold analysis of the Eucharist as sacred meal, sacrifice, and Real Presence, helping readers to understand the sacrament of Jesus’ Body and Blood more thoroughly so that they might fall in love with him more completely.  Discover the profound truth flowing out of Jesus’ words at the Last Supper: “Take, eat; this is my body. . . . Drink from it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant.”

Are you ready to stand before the Just Judge?
Are you ready to give an account for every word, every thought, every intention?
In this powerful sermon, Pope Shenouda III, former Coptic Orthodox Pope and one of the most revered voices in modern Christian history—known by many as "the Golden Mouth"—speaks about one of the most critical themes of all spiritual life:
    Death and Judgment.
🕯️ While we love to speak of God's love… His mercy… and His forgiveness…
There’s another attribute of God that cannot be ignored:
    God the Righteous Judge.
"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." (Hebrews 10:31)
"Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward." (Luke 16:2)
📌 Why Should You Reflect on Death and Judgment?
Because in today’s world, death no longer has an age.
A child may die before the elder.
The rich may perish in the height of their success.
So many are distracted by pleasure, work, or entertainment, unaware that eternity draws near.
Remember the parable of the rich fool:
“You have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”
    But God said to him:
“You fool! This night your soul will be required of you.” (Luke 12:20)
    📖 Death Reveals. Judgment Evaluates.
    In that hour:
    The books are opened
    The works are exposed
    The thoughts are examined
There is no escape, no mediator, unless you’ve lived in true repentance.
✝️ How Can You Prepare for Death and Judgment?
    1️⃣ Examine Yourself Daily:
    2️⃣ Live in Ongoing Repentance:
3️⃣ Pursue Holiness on Earth to Live it in Heaven:
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8)

Marvin played catch with his father, Eli, only once—it didn't end well. Eli never laughed, rarely spoke with his son, and was periodically lambasted by his wife for his lack of ambition. How had a Harvard graduate failed to achieve all that he had once hoped for?

Now an experienced investigative journalist, Marvin Olasky uncovers the true story of his father's past in his most personal work to date—facing Eli's pain and his own in order to understand and forgive. He follows Eli from his Orthodox Jewish childhood in Boston to his days as a commuter student at Harvard to his traumatic experiences in Germany following World War II to his embrace of Reconstructionist Judaism, describing a "spiritual and psychological death by one thousand cuts"—and discovering what he owes to his parents.
