Synopsis

Beneath the sea, over millennia, sentient beings await our final mistakes: soon they will make their move.
Seaweed Rising follows an amateur seaweed collector who is convinced that algae are taking over the human race. From a Cornish fishing village to the Spanish coast, up to the blinding glacial landscape of the Arctic, human society falls under the microscope in this genre-bending existential drama.

It's always been comfort over fashion for me. But when my boss dangles a carrot in the shape of my very own column, I will do whatever she wants. Even if it means I have to swap my leggings and Uggs for a tight dress and stilettos.

She asks me to do a makeover photoshoot for the magazine I work for.

The night before the shoot, I am saved from an awkward situation by some hot businessman who takes pity on me. Pity. Not exactly the romantic meet-cute that one might hope for. But after the shoot, I get on the subway looking like Malibu Barbie, and I stumble into the same guy! Only, he doesn't recognize me at all.

Then my boss moves the goal post. I can have my column so long as the first article is on her topic: How to Get a Guy to Fall in Love. I hate the idea. It's so cheap, so manipulative. Basically, my boss wants me to make a guy fall for me using tricks from the internet.

What kind of guy deserves that? Then I think back to the shallow guy who only wanted to date me when I had hair extensions, several layers of makeup, and a revealing dress to show off the goods.

Now, with the help of my sisters I'm on a mission to get Mr. Businessman to fall head over heels for me.

He’s the league’s most feared enforcer. She’s the one woman he can’t touch.
When a brutal hit leaves a rookie in the hospital, Liam “The Butcher” Kavanagh is given an ultimatum: get his temper under control in therapy or lose the only life he knows. Enter Dr. Ava Hart—the team’s new sports psychologist, brilliant, composed, and absolutely off-limits.
Mandatory sessions turn into late-night confessions. Behind the bruises and headlines, Ava sees a fiercely loyal man who has never been allowed to be anything but dangerous. Crossing the line could end his season and destroy her career, but the pull between them is a game neither of them knows how to stop.
Skating the Line is a dark, high-heat hockey romance featuring a fiercely protective hero, a steel-spined heroine, and an HEA that hits as hard as the game. Interconnected standalone. No cliffhanger. 18+ for explicit scenes and adult language.
Tropes and vibes: enforcer x therapist, forbidden/ethical line, grumpy/sunshine, workplace pressure, found family in the locker room, redemption, possessive hero, high steam.

When he asks me to help him, I realize there's no place I'd rather be.

Nevarn: After I was banished from my clan, I created a new life for myself in the forest. But my banishment is over, and I'm determined to find out who framed me. On the way, I'm attacked and left for dead, and a beautiful human, Kerry, saves my life. When a symbol appears on my wrist, I know she's my mate. She agrees to travel with me, and I see this as my chance to show her all a Zuldruxian male has to offer.

But someone is following us, and they'll do anything to keep us from reaching our destination. I'd burn the world down to protect Kerry, but will we survive long enough to fall in love?

There is something about the number 3.
The Ancient Greeks believed 3 was the perfect number, and in China 3 has always been a lucky number, and they know a thing or two.
Most religions also have 3 this and 3 that and, of course, in these more modern times, three’s a crowd may be too many, except when it’s a ménage à trois. It seems good things usually come in threes.
Whatever history and culture says WE think 3, a hat-trick of stories, is a great number to explore themes and literary avenues that classic authors were so adept at creating.

Here is one of twelve magnificent stories, originally part of The John Cheever Audio Collection, in which John Cheever celebrates—with unequaled grace and tenderness—the deepest feelings we have.
As Cheever writes in his preface, ""These stories seem at times to be stories of a long-lost world when the city of New York was still filled with a river light, when you heard the Benny Goodman quartets from a radio in the corner stationery store, and when almost everybody wore a hat.""
