The events that took place during that time, laid the groundwork for what was to come. The story is filled with heroes and villains and looked at it through the eyes of the people who lived it. 
    
  It is called the Hidden History of Texas, because if you don’t dig, you’d never know about it or these people. It’s not taught in the schools other than a brief mention of some of the more famous Indian tribes. Without these people and their activities, it is doubtful many of us would be here today.
