From acclaimed journalist Adam Hay-Nicholls, the very first biography of rising star Charles Leclerc.

Few of the drivers on the F1 grid have the racing pedigree of Charles Leclerc. Widely regarded as one of the sport's hottest prospects, he was crowned F3 and then F2 champion in back-to-back seasons before he made his F1 debut with Sauber in 2018. Now firmly established as Ferrari's great hope, following in the footsteps of legends Alberto Ascari, Niki Lauda and Michael Schumacher, Leclerc has his eyes set on becoming world champion.

Born in Monaco to a family of comparatively modest means, Leclerc remembers playing with toy cars on a friend's balcony as the best drivers in the world whizzed around the Monte Carlo circuit on the streets below. This early experience inspired him to get behind the wheel, encouraged by his father Hervé, and so began his meteoric rise in the sport. Along the way, he lost his father, his godfather and his best friend - all racing drivers - and this gave Leclerc the inner steel to become a winner.

Writer Adam Hay-Nicholls, who has spent much of his career in the Formula One paddock, provides the inside track on this rising star, recounting how he has taken the racing world by storm. And as Leclerc's Ferrari is beginning to fire on all cylinders, will he beat his old rival and adversary Max Verstappen to the world title?

Barack Hussein Obama was born on 4th August 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is an American politician and attorney who served as the 44th president for two terms from 2009 to 2017. He is the son of parents from Kenya and Kansas. Barack Obama`s father, Barack Obama Senior., was born of Luo ethnicity in Nyanza Province, Kenya. Obama`s dad grew up herding goats in Africa. Eventually, he received a scholarship that allowed him to leave Kenya and follow his dreams of going to college in Hawaii. During World War II, Obama`s mum, Ann Dunham, was born on an Army base in Wichita, Kansas. As he studied at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Obama`s dad met fellow student Ann Dunham. The two got married on 2nd February 1961, and Obama Junior was born six months later. Obama Senior left soon after Obama Junior`s birth, and the couple divorced two years later. In 1965, Ann Dunham was re-married to Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian student from the University of Hawaii. Twelve months later, the new family transferred to Jakarta, Indonesia, where Obama Junior`s half-sister, Maya Soetoro Ng, was born in 1970. A series of incidents in Indonesia left Ann Dunham uncertain of Obama Junior`s safety and education. So, when he was 10, Obama Junior was sent back to Hawaii to live with his maternal grandparents. Ann Dunham and Obama Junior`s step-sister, Maya Soetoro Ng, later joined them. Barack Obama Junior Growing Up As a child, Barack Obama Junior did not have a relationship with his father. After a while, Obama Senior returned to Kenya.

Blaise Pascal, the seventeenth-century French philosopher and scientist, is perhaps best known for his "wager," an argument about the existence of God. But there was much more to Pascal and his brilliance.

In this accessible and well-documented study, philosopher Douglas Groothuis introduces listeners to Pascal's life as well as the breadth of his intellectual pursuits, including his contributions to mathematics, science, ethics, and theology. Groothuis overviews the key points of Pascal's Pensées, which captures his thoughts about God, humanity, and Jesus Christ. Listeners will also explore Pascal's views on a range of topics, including culture, politics, Islam, and miracles.

Often quoted and often misunderstood, Pascal is a complex figure whose writings have charmed, puzzled, and inspired readers across the centuries. With guidance from a leading Christian thinker and longtime student of Pascal, Beyond the Wager takes you on a journey to discover the riches Pascal has to offer today.

This is the story of the greatest scandal inflicted on British servicemen and women in modern times: drug-induced violence and suicide – and an officer determined to find the truth.

It was supposed to be a wonder drug that would save the world from malaria. But soon after Lariam was brought to international markets in the late 1980s, users of this handy, once-a-week pill began to experience shocking side-effects. Yet over the coming decades, as the drug became implicated in ever-increasing acts of unexplained violence, homicide and suicide, the Ministry of Defence continued to force Lariam on tens, or perhaps hundreds, of thousands of unsuspecting people deployed to some of the world’s most dangerous places.

Enduring years of Lariam-induced nightmares, former soldier Andrew Marriott realised something was horribly wrong; not just with the drug itself but with the institutions responsible for its use and safety. So began a journey towards the truth, a truth that vested interests in the United Kingdom and around the globe were determined to conceal.

If a professional referee has a perfect match, nobody says a word about it. If they have a poor one, they immediately become everyone's object of hatred, solely responsible for everything. With these conditions on his shoulders, Jonas Eriksson walked out onto the biggest and most prestigious football pitches in the world time and time again. He portrays the enormous demands placed on the elite tier of referees, how they are ostracised if they don't maintain their weight or pass extreme physical tests. For eighteen years, Jonas Eriksson was one of FIFA's top referees. In House of Cards he speaks openly about the lonely path to the top, why he quit, and what happens behind the scenes in international top-flight football, which is characterised by corruption, cronyism and self-centred superstars.
