Synopsis

This book is not beautiful, nor does it possess any misleading allure. It is a terrifying work, a regurgitation of the author’s fears hidden beneath the literary veneer of a fabricated life. 
Fears that have constructed a fortress around our eyes, entrapping us within. The conflict between the conscious mind and the subconscious is our confrontation with a metaphor for the random sediment at the bottom of our own minds. 
This frightening world is drawn from the filth of our subconscious and is named Augenburg (The Castle of Eyes).
