Synopsis

Ethical hacking, also known as penetration testing or white-hat hacking, is a practice of deliberately probing and assessing the security of computer systems, networks, applications, and other digital environments in order to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses that could potentially be exploited by malicious hackers. The primary goal of ethical hacking is to proactively uncover these vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by unauthorized individuals or groups, thereby helping organizations strengthen their security measures and protect their sensitive information. Key aspects of ethical hacking include: Authorization: Ethical hackers must obtain proper authorization from the owner or administrator of the system before conducting any tests. This ensures that the testing process remains within legal and ethical boundaries. Methodology: Ethical hacking involves a systematic and structured approach to identify vulnerabilities. This includes various techniques like network scanning, penetration testing, social engineering, and vulnerability assessment. Scope: The scope of an ethical hacking engagement is defined before the testing begins. It outlines the systems, applications, and networks that will be tested. Staying within the defined scope ensures that only authorized systems are tested. Information Gathering: Ethical hackers gather information about the target systems, including their architecture, software versions, and potential weak points. This information helps them plan their testing approach. Vulnerability Analysis: Ethical hackers use various tools and techniques to identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and weak points in the target systems. These vulnerabilities could include software bugs, insecure configurations, or design flaws. Exploitation: In a controlled environment, ethical hackers might attempt to exploit the identified vulnerabilities to demonstrate the potential impact of a real attack. However, they stop short of causing

Once home to the United States's largest plutonium production site, the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Washington State is laced with 56 million gallons of radioactive waste. The threat of an explosive accident at Hanford is all too real—an event that could be more catastrophic than Chernobyl.

The EPA designated Hanford the most toxic place in America; it is also the most expensive environmental clean-up job the world has ever seen, with a $677 billion price tag that keeps growing. Huge underground tanks, well past their life expectancy and full of boiling radioactive gunk, are leaking, infecting groundwater supplies and threatening the Columbia River.

Whistleblowers are now speaking out, hoping their pleas can help bring attention to the dire situation at Hanford. Aside from a few feisty community groups and handful of Indigenous activists, there is very little public scrutiny of the clean-up process, which is managed by the Department of Energy and carried out by contractors with shoddy track records, like Bechtel. In the context of renewed support for atomic power as a means of combating climate change, Atomic Days provides a much-needed refutation of the myths of nuclear technology—from weapons to electricity—and shines a spotlight on the ravages of Hanford and its threat to communities, workers, and the global environment.

This book contains two genocide topics:
1 - If you think that most of the world consists of unicorns and rainbows, think again. Perhaps you think that living in the west is particularly harsh and that the problems we face in the United States or Europe are more brutal than in other parts of the world. Again, think again.
Welcome to a book about the ongoing genocide in Darfur, something not often discussed in the news but shocking enough to make you envision what hell on earth looks like. Chances are some of these rapes and murders are happening right now as you’re reading it. The conflict there isn’t over.
The International Bad Guy Court (ICC) has prosecuted many individuals for criminal offenses against mankind, rape, mass relocations and deportations, and abuse because of the genocide being committed against the Fur, Masalit, and Zaghawa tribe. More than one million children there have been "killed, raped, hurt, displaced, shocked, or endured the loss of parents or caregivers and loved ones.”
2 - I guess during the time I was struggling with middle school peers and worried about what other girls thought of my clothes, something nasty happened approximately 6,500 miles away, which is only an 8-hour flight from where I used to live. Who would have thought that even in the 90s, such atrocities would be committed? The movie Hotel Rwanda has depicted some sad displays of human cruelty, although the brutality of it has mostly been censored for the sake of wider audiences.
Throughout the Rwandan Civil War, between April seventh and July fifteenth, 1994, the Rwandan genocide happened. Equipped militias murdered members of the Tutsi minority ethnic group, and some moderate Hutu and Twa, throughout about 100 days. According to the most regularly accepted academic estimates, between 500,000 and 800,000 Tutsis passed away. The death toll (consisting of Hutu and Twa casualties) is approximated to be around 1,100,000.

Zodiakos: The Circle of Holy Animals is a mystical exploration of the twelve signs of the zodiac as they were originally conceived—sacred emblems in the celestial scripture of the ancient world. This richly symbolic work reinterprets Aries through Pisces as spiritual archetypes, each one a phase in the soul’s journey around the eternal wheel of life, death, and rebirth.
Drawing on the esoteric traditions of Egypt, Greece, Chaldea, and the mystery schools of antiquity, Zodiakos reveals how the constellations were not merely tools of astrology, but sacred signatures of cosmic intelligence, encoded with the wisdom of the ages. Whether lion or lamb, goat or twins, each sign becomes a gateway to initiation and an invitation to inner alchemy.
Perfect for seekers, stargazers, and students of Hermeticism, Zodiakos unites myth, magic, and metaphysics in a visionary guide to the twelvefold path of cosmic understanding.
