Are you sitting nicely? Good. Let's discover exactly what happened after two superstar Labradors chewed up the lockdown internet and found it really quite tasty. He's not kept a diary for decades but here, in DOG DAYS, Andrew Cotter draws inspiration from the great Samuel Pepys; like him, he bears witness to the extraordinary everyday as the world tilts on its axis in our own unsettling era.And so, with Olive and Mabel at his side - actually, dawdling in the long grass or sleeping upside down - Andrew takes a clear-eyed, often hilarious walk through a year that encompasses all of life from the crushingly mundane to the decidedly odd.Followed by whispers of 'Is that really Olive and Mabel?' - not to mention the occasional Hollywood approach - the three of them pad around literary festivals, breakfast TV, live radio and even an appearance on Good Morning America. Slightly bemused by their fame, Andrew not only pitches up in the iconic Mastermind chair, but makes a return to sports broadcasting to find that it has become rather strange as well. But, always, his pair of utterly endearing, endlessly optimistic and eternally hungry canine companions show just how precious our time is. Especially our time spent in the devoted company of dogs. For fans new and old, this witty, insightful account of a year like no other is an unmissable treat.

The delightfully comic account of a British couple and their imported cats starting over in a new country continues in Bucket to Greece Volume 2. It is now three months since Victor and Marigold moved to the mountain village of Meli, developing new friendships and marking their life-changing move with a traditional house blessing ceremony. Victor integrates into village life and improves his language skills by helping out at the local taverna, after sanitizing the place to his exacting hygiene standards. Barry's budding romance with Cynthia continues apace, whilst Marigold turns to a spot of matchmaking, arranging a dinner party for Meli's eligible bachelors and her best friend Geraldine who is over for a visit.

Following a late night brawl, Guzim goes on the missing list, creating a quandary for Victor as he contemplates the wisdom of bringing the disappearance of an illegal Albanian to the attention of the authorities. Victor experiences the ups of and downs of everyday Greek life; the up of the novelty of a sea dip in December even though the locals consider such behavior quite bizarre, and the down of being forced out of bed on a cold windy morning to bake bread for the village in an outside oven. As Victor settles into his new life he is haunted by the specter of his absconded parent turning up on his doorstep.

Two Oppositional Figures in Church History Shed Light on Division in the Church Today
Our current culture seems to be increasingly divided on countless issues, including those affecting the church. But for centuries, theological disagreements, political differences, and issues relating to church leadership have made it challenging for Christians to foster unity and love for one another.
In this book, author Tim Cooper explores this polarization through the lives of two oppositional figures in church history: John Owen and Richard Baxter. Cooper highlights their individual stories while showing how their contrasting life experiences, personalities, and temperaments led to their inability to work together. After exploring these lessons from the past, readers will gain insights into their own relationships, ultimately learning how to love and live in harmony with their fellow believers despite their disagreements.

    - Historical: Biographical examination of two Puritan writers from the 17th century: John Owen and Richard Baxter
    - Accessible: Short format and crisp writing style offer an engaging story with no background knowledge required

The place where the author tells you what the story is about.  The scene; Charleston SC, party capital of the South East. The epoch 1990-2002 and the theme, what is full maybe soon become empty.  This concerns money, time, alcohol, and other vices. I am writing to you young eager college freshman that might be missing something in your life.  It deals with you and your dreams.  It could mean the difference between you becoming a meager wage earner or a happy, content person with solid footing.  You peers may determine your future if you allow them to kill your dreams. Come with me to the year of 1990.  The pace was slower, people were not addicted to the ‘net, cell phones, and texting someone was still on a sticky piece of paper.  Flyers of local bands were plentiful and formed a backdrop of human color to the polished college campus.  The Doric columns by the Cistern at the College of Knowledge held sway over us.  The neo-European classical architecture, bordered with world famous iron works constantly reminded us of the genteel nature of Charleston SC.   Club venues like Café 99, East Bay Trading Company, the Tree house, the Juke-box, Myskans, Henry’s, High Cotton, A. C’s, Mike Calder’s Pub, Indigo’s were some of the happiest spots on the Earth for us soon to be adults.  What mattered to us were the music, the wine, and the sunshine.  For beaches were also part of that innocent charm Charleston warmed us with during the early 1990s.  Some of the clubs you did not want to go due continual beer fights are not listed, but still sit invitingly to College of Knowledge students to this day! Plus other Tales from Market and Calhoun Streets during wonderful weekends of 1999-2002. I was a lowly U. S. Navy veteran who just finished four years of playing a Marine at MCAS (Marine Corps Air Station) Beaufort.  More on that story later.  Well for most of you freshman orientation is a drag.  As it was for me, but what it did do was provide me with some direction.
