Turkish vocabulary book + Turkish dictionaryThis Turkish vocabulary book contains more than 3000 words and phrases which are grouped by topic to make it easier for you to pick what to learn first. On top of that, the index in the second half of the book provides you with a basic Turkish-English as well as English-Turkish dictionary which makes this a great resource for learners of all levels.

What you can expect from this book:This Turkish learning resource is a combination of Turkish vocabulary book and a two-way basic Turkish dictionary:Part 1 - Topic based Turkish vocabulary book: This is the main part of the book and represents a list of chapters each containing Turkish vocabularies for a certain topic. The Turkish vocabularies in the chapters are unsorted on purpose to separate remembering them from a defined alphabetical order. You can start at any chapter and dive directly into the topics that interest you the most.Part 2 - Basic English-Turkish dictionary: The index in the second half of the book can be used as a basic Turkish dictionary to look up words you have learned but can't remember or learn new words you need.Part 3 - Basic Turkish-English dictionary: Easy to use and with just the right amount of words, this third part finishes off with a second index that allows you to look for Turkish words and directly find the English translation

How to use this Turkish vocabulary book:Not sure where to start? We suggest you first work your way through the verbs, adjectives and phrases chapters in part one of the book. This will give you a great base for further studying and already enough vocabulary for basic communication. The Turkish dictionaries in part two and three can be used whenever needed to look up words you hear on the street, English words you want to know the Turkish translation for or simply to learn some new words.

Some final thoughts:Vocabulary books have been around for centuries and as with so many things that have been around for some time, they are not very fashionable and a bit boring, but they usually work very well. Together with the basic Turkish dictionary parts, this vocabulary book is a great resource to support you throughout the process of learning Turkish and comes in particularly handy at times when there is no internet to look up words and phrases.

This book consists of the following two titles:
    - The Correlation-Causation Fallacy: The correlation-causation fallacy is a common error in reasoning where people mistakenly believe that because two events or variables are correlated, one must have caused the other. This fallacy is not only widespread but can have significant consequences in various aspects of life, including science, policy-making, and everyday decision-making. It stems from the human tendency to look for patterns and explanations, often leading us to draw conclusions from observed associations without carefully analyzing the underlying mechanisms at play.

    - The Gambler's Fallacy: The Gambler's Fallacy, also known as the Monte Carlo fallacy, is a common cognitive bias in which individuals believe that past events can influence future random outcomes. It is particularly evident in gambling scenarios, where players wrongly assume that a string of bad or good luck must be followed by a reversal. The core principle of the fallacy lies in the misinterpretation of probability. In reality, the odds of a specific event occurring remain constant, regardless of what happened in the past. This misunderstanding can lead to poor decision-making and increased risks.

This timeless work of biting satirical wit presents an A-to-Z lexicon of common English terms, and what we actually mean by them. The renowned author Ambrose Bierce produced classic works in a range of genres, from fantasy and horror to realistic tales drawn from his experience in the Civil War. Among his most beloved books is The Devil’s Dictionary, a work of wry humor that remains one of the funniest assessments of American language and manners. Through epigrams, essays, vignettes, and verse, Bierce skewers religion, class, politics, romance, and more. Included, you’ll find such pithy definitions as: ·      Acquaintance, n.: A person whom we know well enough to borrow from but not well enough to lend to. ·      Bride, n.: A woman with a great future behind her. ·      Consult, v.: To seek another's approval of a course already decided on. And many others.
