Synopsis

Indigenous peoples were the first "Bioneers" who worked with nature in a reciprocal relationship -- giving back as much as they took. This program highlights startling new studies that have identified "biodiversity hotspots" around the globe, lands that are critical to the health of the biosphere, lands which are under the care of indigenous peoples and are identified by multinational business interests as prime targets for massive resource extraction.
