    YOUNG BLACKBEARD THE PIRATE
    PORT OF BRISTOL 1690
Book 5 of 6 – The Ghost of the Back Garden Lagoon
Here is the summary of the Story:
In 1690s Bristol, young Edward Teach (the future Blackbeard) and his crew investigate eerie splashing sounds from a rain barrel—rumoured to harbour a ghost. Armed with lanterns and nerves of steel, they stage a midnight raid, only to discover the "spectre" is a magnificent frog with luminous eyes. Edward, ever the showman, declares the amphibian their new mascot: "Captain Croaker." The crew transforms an old fish tank into a pirate lagoon, complete with miniature shipwrecks and a tiny Jolly Roger. Through this adventure, Edward demonstrates his knack for turning fear into opportunity—a skill that would later define his reign as history's most theatrical pirate. The tale blends authentic period details of Bristol's maritime culture with childhood whimsy, showing how Blackbeard's legendary leadership began with simple backyard adventures and loyal friends.
This is the fifth of six audiobooks in the series and I do hope you enjoy this fifth instalment, and it's only $3, all subsequent will remain at that price.
the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 minutes being accordion, fiddle, harmonica and bango in a classical sea shanty jig. The closing music ends the tale on a similar jig and at about 2 minutes with the same musical instruments but more upbeat looking forward to the next episode.
The story itself runs to about 30 minutes is narrated in my own voice.
I do hope you enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come!

Jonah is Rio’s big brother. It’s his job. It always has been. Especially when Mam does one of her disappearing acts, like now. Her name’s Marina, which means ‘from the sea’. And just like the sea: she changes with the wind. She comes, she goes.
The sea was there the last time Jonah and Rio saw her. The Whitby Sea. And it wasn’t in a good mood. No-one has seen Mam since that day and the social workers say . . . she’s not coming back this time.
Susanna Bailey's latest children's fiction, Smugglers’ Fox, delves into the themes of family, friendship, and emotions. The narrative explores the juvenile perspective on alternative family structures and the emotional rollercoaster that accompanies it.
