Synopsis

You are mine Blair, your body, your soul, everything belongs to me. You have no identity except for the fact that you are my property,” he growled.

“I'm…I’m not your property,” I stuttered.

“Say that again Blair,” he scolded with eyes that looked like burning flames “I dare you to say that again,”

I wanted to speak, to say something to oppose him but my mouth remained mute.

“You belong to me Blair and there's nothing you can do to change that,”

Blair was an omega who wanted nothing but to have a normal school life like every other teenager but all that changed when she crossed paths with the Three Alphas who found pleasure in killing her hopes of living a normal life.

The Meteor Girl is an early science fiction story by Jack Williamson, first published in 1931. It follows a young telegraph operator whose ordinary night shift is disrupted when a meteor crashes nearby — bringing with it something far stranger than stone. The encounter pulls him into a mystery that blends young love, cosmic possibility, and the unknown forces that move between worlds. Williamson uses simple, direct prose to create a sense of widening wonder as the familiar gives way to the extraordinary.
The story reflects the optimism and curiosity of early pulp-era SF. Rather than grim speculation, it leans toward discovery — the idea that the universe is full of secrets waiting to be stumbled over by unsuspecting people with open eyes. Like many early Williamson pieces, it treats science not as abstraction but as an adventure through which ordinary lives are suddenly changed.
Jack Williamson (1908–2006) was one of the longest-lived and most respected voices of American science fiction. Raised in rural New Mexico, he began selling stories to the pulps as a teenager and remained active well into the 21st century — his career spanning from the age of airships to the age of the internet. Williamson wrote across styles and decades, from space opera to thoughtful sociological SF, producing works like The Legion of Space, Darker Than You Think, and later the Hugo and Nebula-winning Terraforming Earth.
He bridged generations of the genre, studying it formally and teaching it at Eastern New Mexico University while still publishing fiction. Williamson’s work helped move science fiction from pulp entertainment to a literature of ideas, and The Meteor Girl stands as an early glimpse of the imagination that would make him a pillar of the field.

    Fragile Innocence
In the wake of immortality, innocence became prized most highly… and it was preyed upon.
Four very different young women are connected by a gravity that draws them to each other, but to annihilation or consummation?
Grace has a loving family, fiancé, and unshakable faith. So why does her life feel incomplete? Rayne lives in the remains of a skeletal skyscraper and promises herself that today will be different - today, she’ll find happiness. Elana is a member of the city’s thrill-seeking elite, who longs for something real in a life of vacuous hedonism. Sara is an A.I. in love with a creator who will never love her back.
    Fabricated Innocence
New York can be a dark place.
All Sara ever wanted is Elana, but when she’s forced to choose between loving her and protecting her, she’ll risk everything to do both. Elana walks a fine line to survive in her cut-throat world, but when the people she cares about are dragged into it, she has to embrace her ruthless upbringing to save them. Grace is haunted by her past, and Rayne is hounded by hers.
These women are pulled closer by bonds of love in a world bent on tearing them apart. When love is all you have, it has to be enough.
    Innocence Reclaimed
The world is officially going to hell.
The Immortality Wars were supposed to be ancient history, but ironically or not, they refused to stay dead. This time, however, someone or something had declared war on immortality itself, and people were actually dying again. People were scared, and scared people do terrible things.
A lot of them blamed Rayne. She was the most wanted person in New York, and not in a good way. Her legacy as the daughter of the hero of the Wars wouldn’t leave her alone. The Revolution had never been her cause, but fate thrust it on her.
    Thanks, mom.
