Synopsis

👑 The picturesque English village of Crumbleton-upon-Cress is abuzz with excitement over a surprise visit from a minor royal. The highlight is a traditional tea at the local tearoom, "The Gilded Scone," owned by American ex-pat and master baker, Daisy Miller. But the event turns from delightful to deadly when the royal food taster collapses after sampling a signature lavender scone. When the police discover the scone was laced with a rare poison, Daisy's tearoom is shut down and she becomes the prime suspect. To save her business and avoid an international incident, Daisy must conduct her own investigation into the village's most esteemed residents. With help from her corgi, Biscuit, and a disgraced journalist looking for a comeback story, Daisy uncovers a web of secrets worthy of the court itself. From blackmail and forged wills to secret identities and a decades-old scandal involving the royal family itself, the genteel facade of the village hides bitter rivalries.
