Synopsis

🎃 The annual Harvest Fair in the small, agricultural town of Podunk is famous for one thing: its giant vegetable competition. This year, all eyes are on farmer Clem's colossal pumpkin, a surefire winner. But the festivities turn fatal when the notoriously petty and biased judge, Herb Crust, takes one bite of a complimentary pumpkin muffin and drops dead. The cause: a rare, fast-acting pesticide. The prime suspect is Clem's granddaughter, Maya, who baked the muffins and had a very public argument with Herb after he unfairly disqualified her sunflowers last year. To clear her name and save her family's farm from a scandal, Maya must dig into the dirt of the competitive growing world. With help from her pot-bellied pig, Gourd-on, and a disgraced botanist seeking redemption, she uncovers a fertilizer-fueled underbelly of the competition. From sabotaged seedlings and stolen growth formulas to blackmail and a decades-old grudge over a legendary, now-missing, prize-winning tomato, the roots of this crime run deep. Can Maya weed out the real killer before the fair closes and the culprit vines their way to freedom?
