Synopsis

This is Part One of a trilogy by Prof. Patricia Wong of Hong Kong University, in which Prof. Wong shares her findings on the sexual and erotic practices of the village of Hongcun during the 12th Century AD. Learn how the astonishingly open disposition of the villagers of Hongcun towards human sexuality enabled the village to establish a harmonious order that was life enhancing and that enabled the delivery of order by placing the desires of the individual at the center of their philosophy. The reader will find many of the findings not only astonishing as well as stimulating and interesting, but also edifying and intellectually invigorating.
