Were the Burmese migrant workers responsible? Or were the powerful, tribal families who run Koh Tao involved? And if so, were they aided by corrupt law enforcement?

  Ancient Egypt, renowned for its monumental architecture and sophisticated culture, was also a hub of intellectual and scientific advancements. At the heart of Egyptian knowledge was a unique blend of practical experience, religious beliefs, and cultural traditions. Understanding the foundations of their knowledge requires examining the interplay between mythology, early scientific thought, and the ways this knowledge was transmitted through generations. 
  The role of religion and mythology in ancient Egypt cannot be overstated. Egyptian cosmology deeply influenced how people understood the world around them. Deities associated with creation, the afterlife, and natural phenomena shaped the Egyptians' perception of science and technology. For example, the god Thoth was believed to be the deity of wisdom, writing, and mathematics, and his influence permeated educational practices. Priests and scribes, who were often part of temple schools, acted as custodians of this sacred knowledge. Their training combined religious teachings with practical subjects like astronomy, mathematics, and medicine. 
  Early scientific thought in ancient Egypt was pragmatic rather than theoretical. Egyptians were skilled observers, and much of their knowledge arose from practical problem-solving. Whether it was calculating the Nile's flooding patterns or designing complex irrigation systems, their science emerged from the need to manage everyday challenges. For instance, their understanding of geometry developed out of the necessity to remeasure fields after the annual inundation of the Nile. Similarly, medical practices were rooted in practical observations of ailments and their treatments, blending empirical knowledge with spiritual beliefs.

  In the realm of science and mathematics the Greeks achieved significant breakthroughs. 
  Prominent individuals such, as Pythagoras, Euclid and Archimedes played roles in advancing the fields of geometry and calculus. Meanwhile philosophers, like Thales and Democritus laid the foundations for reasoning. 
  Turning to politics Ancient Greece primarily relied on city states, each governed by its system. Athens implemented a form of democracy where citizens actively participated in decision making processes while Sparta had an disciplined structure. 
  Ancient Greece's influence can still be seen in various aspects of modern society, including government, philosophy, language, art, and sports. Its legacy continues to resonate in the Western world, making it one of the most impactful civilizations in history.

  The Song of Songs, also called the Canticle of Canticles or the Song of Solomon, is an erotic poem that is one of the megillot (scrolls) found in the last section of the Tanakh, known as the Ketuvim (or "Writings"). It is unique within the Hebrew Bible: it shows no interest in Law or Covenant or the God of Israel, nor does it teach or explore wisdom like Proverbs or Ecclesiastes (although it does have some affinities to wisdom literature, as the ascription to the 10th century BCE King of Israel Solomon indicates); instead, it celebrates sexual love, giving "the voices of two lovers, praising each other, yearning for each other, proffering invitations to enjoy".

  Texas Highways and the Genocide...

  “Texas Highways” began as reflections and poems inspired by the Bastrop fires and Hurricane Harvey. It evolved with the Castizo narrator’s emotional states from desperate heartbreak to exhilaration all while driving across the state’s majestic landscapes on its imperial highways. In total there are 56 Texan sonnets in free verse that vary from whimsical questions to lyrical song verses. 
  The epic poem "The Genocide of the Wolf" explores the legends and prophecies of the three historic wolf families, from native and Mexican folklore, to their war with men over the plains and their current captivity. It reveals the underpinning moral lesson of the entire book.
