  He is the manager of the Israeli national writing competition for children named after Rika Barkovitch.  
  In 2023, he was awarded the international poetry and literature prize L'alloro d Dante.  
  This is his ninth book. 
  Kevin Barr, born in 1982, was born and raised in Ayrshire Scotland - the land of Robert Burns. 
  He is vegan and loves all creatures great and small. He felt a fond connection with Benny and volunteered to voice the audiobook so that children all over the world could enjoy his story.
