She has earned numerous awards, including a Grammy, 15 Guinness World Records, six MTV Video Music Awards, and seven Billboard Music Awards. She is also known for her heavily choreographed music videos and catchphrases like "Oh, baby, baby" and "It's Britney, bitch". Spears' career also includes film, television and business ventures.

  Britney Spears was born in McComb, Mississippi, on December 2, 1981, and was raised in the Bible Belt, where conservative Protestantism has strong influence. She was baptized as a Southern Baptist and sang in a church choir as a child. 
    
  Spears' maternal grandmother was English, and one of her maternal great-grandfathers was Maltese. Her siblings are Bryan James Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears.
