Synopsis

Thomas à Kempis wrote The Imitation of Christ in the fifteenth century. Since then, it has been translated from the original Latin many times. A translator always tries to be accurate, so you know just what the original words precisely mean. 
This is not simply a translation. It is a paraphrase. The difference is that it answers a different question: not "What is the exact meaning of the original words?" but rather, "What would this famous author be saying if he were talking to you now?" 
This gives you an insight into the mind of one of the greatest Christian thinkers of all time.
