Beschreibung

This manual will teach you how to choose a site for your garden fish pond; how to stock it, and how to maintain it, so that your fish lead happy lives.
You may also use the articles in your own publication.
I hope that you will find the contents helpful, useful and profitable.
In this ultra stressful world, means of relaxation and a must. One of the best of these, if you have the space is a garden fish pond. An alternative could be a fish tank in the house.
I have had both. I often found myself watching the fish in my tank rather than the television in the corner, but a fish pond is more realistic and makes a fantastic focus of attention. Outdoor fish are also more likely to breed, as they will be local. A garden fish pond also takes less maintenance than a tank.
This manual will teach you how to choose a site for your pond; how to stock it, and how to maintain it so that your fish lead happy lives.
The information in this ebook on various aspects of keeping fish is organised into 17 chapters of about 500-600 words each.
You may also use the articles in your own publication.

Elliot Paul, an American journalist, first walked into rue de la Huchette in the summer of 1923. 'There,' he wrote, 'I found Paris.' His biography of the street brings to life a cast of charaters, from the stately M. de Malancourt to l'Hibou the tramp, from the culturally precocious Hyacinthe to a bevy of prostitutes. Their friendships and enmities, culture and way of life are woven into a tapestry as compelling as a novel. Yet as the threat of the Second World War grows and the political polarisation between right and left intensifies, it endows their quiet, heroic lives with a tragic poignancy. The Last Time I Saw Paris is one of the great portraits of an unforgettable city.

“About the subtlest, most sane-making book on contemporary spirituality that I’ve read in years. It’s also the funniest.”—Joanna Macy, author of Active Hope   Deciding that her life was insufficiently grounded in real-world experience, Mary Rose O’Reilley, a Quaker reared as a Catholic, embarked on a year of tending sheep. In this decidedly down-to-earth, often-hilarious book, O’Reilley describes her work in an agricultural barn and her extended visit to a Buddhist monastery in France, where she studied with Thich Nhat Hanh. She seeks, in both barn and monastery, a spirituality based not in “climbing out of the body” but rather in existing fully in the world.   “O'Reilley has obviously mastered the craft of writing. Her rich, allusive prose draws on Catholicism, Quakerism, Buddhism, monastic tradition, Shakespeare and the Bible. Her short vignettes are luminous with faith matters, yet full of the earthy details of animal husbandry, resulting in a style that's a cross between Kathleen Norris and James Herriot.”—Publishers Weekly    “This enjoyable book offers lingering pleasure.”—Library Journal
