Though countless beautiful women vied for his attention, none had ever succeeded in capturing his heart. 
  Everyone held their breath, waiting for Qi Shenbai to dismiss her outright and for Xu Jiaojiao to become a laughingstock. Yet, to their astonishment, Qi Shenbai agreed! 
  The room erupted into disbelief. Did he really say yes? There had to be some hidden agenda behind this shocking turn of events! They waited eagerly for the inevitable fallout—for the moment when this hastily arranged marriage would crumble into a public spectacle. 
  But to their dismay, no such moment came. Instead, the headlines were filled with stories of Qi Shenbai showering his wife with affection and spoiling her beyond belief.
