Synopsis

LibriVox volunteers bring you 20 recordings of Quatrain by Omar Khayyám. This was the Weekly Poetry project for January 29, 2012. 
 
This is the first known English translation of a quatrain by Omar Khayyám. It appeared in Sir William Jones's "A Grammar of the Persian Language" (1771). (Introduction by Algy Pug)
