Synopsis

Chanting Rituals explores the profound impact of sacred chants and hymns across cultures, revealing their power for spiritual connection and healing. This exploration highlights how chanting serves as more than just a vocal exercise; it's a sophisticated method for altering consciousness. Did you know that specific sounds and rhythms used in chanting can significantly affect the mind, body, and spirit? Furthermore, chanting practices, found in traditions from Hinduism to Christianity, have been used for centuries to foster emotional balance, spiritual growth, and communal harmony.

The book progresses by first introducing the core principles of chanting, then examining its historical evolution, and finally exploring scientific perspectives that support its effectiveness, referencing studies in neuroscience and music therapy. What makes this book unique is its integration of ancient wisdom with modern scientific insights, offering both a comprehensive analysis and practical techniques for incorporating chanting into daily life. The book argues that engaging with chants offers tangible pathways to heightened awareness and deeper spiritual understanding.

Baggage has gotten a bad rap. We think it's all bad. We think it makes us less likely to have good, healthy relationships today. But baggage isn't just the bad stuff that happened to us in the past. It's the lessons we've taken from the pain we carry. It's how what we've been through has actually made us stronger and more capable than we imagine. And it's how we're going to make our current relationships work.

Far from minimizing past pain, pastor Ike Miller shows you how to go through the baggage you carry from a difficult childhood and pull out the good stuff. The intentionality you've developed. The empathy you've gained. The trust you value so highly. Miller shares from his own past in a dysfunctional family impacted by alcoholism and divorce, and his present as part of a healthy and loving family, to illustrate how to stop letting your past sabotage your present.

You'll find no platitudes or pat answers here. Rather, you'll discover untapped riches of experience and knowledge you already have that can make your relationships thrive and change the course of your life and legacy.

Despite a strong belief in the institution and sacredness of marriage, studies show that Christian spouses experience divorce at least as much as the secular population.
But whatever the reasons for a divorce--beyond the divorce itself--many Christians want to know: does the Bible support remarriage?
The fact is that no consensus exists among evangelicals on their views of remarriage, leaving many Christians confused. This Counterpoints volume explores the biblical and practical cases for the three main evangelical views on remarriage after divorce:Remarriage is not acceptable after divorce - defended by Gordon J. WenhamRemarriage is acceptable only after adultery or desertion - defended by William A. HethRemarriage is acceptable for a variety of reasons - defended by Craig S. Keener
Each of the three contributors offers his point of view succinctly and with biblical support, and each interacts with the others to help readers come to their own conclusions.
Further resources and reflection questions are included in the audiobook companion PDF download.
The Counterpoints series presents a comparison and critique of scholarly views on topics important to Christians that are both fair-minded and respectful of the biblical text. Each volume is a one-stop reference that allows readers to evaluate the different positions on a specific issue and form their own, educated opinion.

Bongani allowed his grief to overcloud his reasoning, he believed that he has achieved all what he has achieved because his father was always there for him and after his father’s death he became fearful and doubtful. He became to say my Bow is gone which mean he is an arrow and his dad was a bow that helped him to shout. Therefore God send him a messenger to remind him that he God is still there for him and he also reminded him that it was Him who give us power to succeed in life. But in this book we see that God really meant it when he said nothing can really separate us from him. God gave Bongani a vision about Terry’s twins however he dismissed it as just a dream because he had the revelation while he was drunk and weakened by the demon of alcoholism. Terry as well because of her arrogance and greed, she was manipulated by the demon of false prosperity as a result she became a surrogate mother for the devil. And also through her wealth many dreams were shattered and destinies were diverted or delayed. In this book we also learn how people expose themselves these false prophets who go about deceiving people with false prosperity and how dangerous it is to trust on man for success instead of trusting God , people believes more on the power of network connections than on the word of God Deuteronomy 8:18 which says it is God who give us power to get wealth. Most people on Terry’s network lost their blessing to her as the demon were switching their luck with hers all in the name of power of connections because people forgot that to succeed in life is not based on whom you hang out with, or whom you know and connected with or whom do you play golf with but it is God who direct our step in Psalm 37:23 and in Ecclesiastes 9:11, which says chance happen to all of us. At the end God restored both Bongani and also used him to restore Terry and Steven marriage and God gave them triplets for the twins that went to heaven early.
