Synopsis

Pioneering Women of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC): Portrait of Mother Lizzie Woods Robinson captures the story of the first Supervisor of Women of the denomination and her transformative impact in Black history and among African American women in the organization. It tells the story of her efforts to implement high standards of uniformity and oneness among COGIC women to help give them an identity during an era when women in the United States had none.
