Summary

It is the end of the nineteenth century. Humans have made many wondrous scientific discoveries – but across the vastness of space, a much more advanced species has been watching.

The Martians come to Earth in a shower of shooting stars, forcing one man to flee his home and separating him from his wife. He begins a desperate journey to escape the alien invasion and survive against their deadly machines.
