Synopsis

Born in a small town known as Helena Arkansas, being raised with a dream to have more was always a part of my plan! My first lifetime memory was waking up in a hospital with a full body cast on. I was ran over completely by a drunk driver, and I use to be carried around in a red wagon! It was obvious to me that I had a purpose in life, because I recovered with no broken bones. Family is the reasoning of me making it this far and I thank God for mines. My foundational pillars includes my father, James Charles Smith III, (mother) Towanna Grant, (step- father) John Curtis Jackson, (grand-mother) Mary Jean Grant, (great- grandmother) Cynthia Robinson, (grandmother) Melvina Robinson- Smith, (great-grandmother) Annie Mae Smith, (great-great grandmother) Jennie V. Williams, (grandad) Houston Grant, (granddad) James Charles Smith Jr , (great-granddad) James Charles Smith Sr, (uncle) James Abernathy, (aunt) Pat Abernathy, and my entire Smith-Abernathy-Jackson family! I hope that I am becoming the best version that I can be to represent what true growth looks like! To my city of Stone Mountain( Da Mound) GA, I'm glad to help put us on the map! Much love to all my Day-1s, and I hope I have made you all proud! I am a living miracle to be able to see this day come true. Now grab your popcorn and extra butter because it's about to be a movie!!

What would you do if there was a tool to help you make better decisions in less time? You'd jump at the chance, wouldn't you?
Mental models help you filter information, which allows you to see things more clearly and make better decisions.
Mental models are also a shortcut to finding the quickest and the best route to solve your problems, whether work-related or personal.
The beauty of mental models is that their variety is virtually infinite, and they help you come up with solutions for just about any issue.
So you're thinking about opening a business. You're not sure what kind of business will be best. The law of Supply and Demand can help. It dictates that companies provide the goods and services demanded by the public. The most profitable companies are those that do this best.
Armed with this knowledge, you can now narrow down your options considerably.
"Developing the habit of mastering the multiple models that underlie reality is the best thing you could do," according to Charlie Munger, who credits his success to the lifetime cultivation of a "latticework" of mental models on which to frame his decisions.
The problem with the average person's mental models is that most are not designed to handle complexity.
And while the conscious use of mental models is possible, they require higher-order thinking skills that few people engage in for various reasons. But that doesn't have to be you!
Inside you'll find:How mental models declutter your thinking and stimulate decision-making (warning: immediate impact on 4 cognitive processes!)The Master List of mental models (including the best two used by Munger)3 characteristics that help you to spot an excellent mental modelWhy we don't use mental models and what we tend to do insteadHow to make your mental toolkit resemble a Swiss army knife in 5 steps

This is the second, revised and expanded edition. The first edition was published under the slightly longer title "How to Take Smart Notes. One Simple Technique to Boost Writing, Learning and Thinking - for Students, Academics and Nonfiction Book Writers".
The key to good and efficient writing lies in the intelligent organisation of ideas and notes. This book helps students, academics and other knowledge workers to get more done, write intelligent texts and learn for the long run. It teaches you how to take smart notes and ensure they bring you and your projects forward.
The Take Smart Notes principle is based on established psychological insight and draws from a tried and tested note-taking technique: the Zettelkasten. This is the first comprehensive guide and description of this system in English, and not only does it explain how it works, but also why. It suits students and academics in the social sciences and humanities, nonfiction writers and others who are in the business of reading, thinking and writing.
Instead of wasting your time searching for your notes, quotes or references, you can focus on what really counts: thinking, understanding and developing new ideas in writing.
Dr. Sönke Ahrens is a writer and researcher in the field of education and social science. He is the author of the award-winning book "Experiment and Exploration: Forms of World Disclosure" (Springer).
Since its first publication, How to Take Smart Notes has sold more than 100,000 copies and has been translated into seven languages.

    ‘Harden the F#*k Up!’
In today's society, it can be tough to be a man. How often have you heard boys and men told to be tough and strong, or not show weakness, or to not cry? …To ask for help or talk about it will show you are weak.
These beliefs and attitudes have been ingrained from a very young age, and it is destroying our men and their families. Depression and mental health issues are rising. In Australia we lose more than seven men to suicide each day.
    This needs to change… NOW!
Soften the F#*k Up! is a guidebook for adults struggling with the aftermath of emotional trauma. Brett Dellar lived with depression for 30 years, almost all of his adult life, as a result of unresolved childhood trauma, never addressing the underlying cause or understanding the impact of being seen as a ‘man’ in today’s society.
Brett shares the journey of how he overcame his depression at the age of 50 and the lessons, tools and skills he learned along the way.
Soften the F#*k Up! is a book about the challenges men face and the importance of mental and emotional health. It will provide a deeper understanding and insight into how and why men struggle with mental and emotional challenges, as well as provide the tools and skills to help turn life around.
This is a hope-filled, love-filled and purpose-filled memoir by a man who is candid about his own struggles and also offers insights and advice for men in today's society. You will not only be inspired to change your life, but also be shown how to take the steps necessary to do so.
