    The Gospel

To say that the gospel has been attacked, watered-down, confused, and compromised in our day would be a severe understatement. No other message is as greatly feared by the enemy of our souls as is the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He will do everything in his power to keep people from hearing it, understanding it, or believing it. I pray that the Lord of the harvest will raise up a new generation of men who are divinely enabled to preach an uncompromising gospel in this sin-darkened end of the age.
Still, it seems rather presumptuous to entitle a booklet, The Gospel. After all, the gospel is the summation of the entire message of scripture! So much has been written—and could be written— that it seems as if a small booklet could hardly do such a subject justice. Nevertheless I wrote with a burden to make the heart of the message as plain as I was enabled.
So much that passes for the gospel in our day never does bring divine light upon man’s true need, let alone confront it with the gospel ultimatum. Just acknowledge a few facts and pray a little prayer and that’s all it takes—they think. But the gulf between lost man and a holy God is much wider than that and it takes a lot more than a salvation “formula” to save people. It takes a divine miracle of grace.

Reconciliation is the process of restoring harmony in relationships that have been strained or broken. It involves healing emotional wounds, rebuilding trust, and fostering understanding between individuals or groups. Conflict is a natural part of human interactions, but unresolved tensions can lead to lasting bitterness and division. The path to reconciliation requires effort, patience, and a willingness to acknowledge past mistakes while working toward a peaceful resolution.
One of the most significant aspects of reconciliation is recognizing the emotional impact of conflict. Hurt feelings, resentment, and misunderstandings often create barriers that prevent individuals from mending their relationships. People may struggle with feelings of anger, betrayal, or guilt, making it difficult to take the first step toward resolution. Understanding these emotions and addressing them in a healthy way is essential for progress. By acknowledging pain and validating emotions, individuals can begin to release the negativity that holds them back.
Several obstacles can stand in the way of reconciliation. Pride, fear, and an unwillingness to forgive often prevent people from moving forward. Some may hesitate to reconcile because they feel it means admitting fault or giving up their sense of justice. Others may fear being hurt again, leading them to avoid difficult conversations. Overcoming these barriers requires self-reflection and a commitment to personal growth. It is important to recognize that reconciliation does not mean forgetting or excusing past actions, but rather finding a way to coexist peacefully and move forward without resentment.

Two Oppositional Figures in Church History Shed Light on Division in the Church Today
Our current culture seems to be increasingly divided on countless issues, including those affecting the church. But for centuries, theological disagreements, political differences, and issues relating to church leadership have made it challenging for Christians to foster unity and love for one another.
In this book, author Tim Cooper explores this polarization through the lives of two oppositional figures in church history: John Owen and Richard Baxter. Cooper highlights their individual stories while showing how their contrasting life experiences, personalities, and temperaments led to their inability to work together. After exploring these lessons from the past, readers will gain insights into their own relationships, ultimately learning how to love and live in harmony with their fellow believers despite their disagreements.

    - Timely: In today's deeply divided culture, this book offers past examples to help spur unity among believers today
    - Historical: Biographical examination of two Puritan writers from the 17th century: John Owen and Richard Baxter
    - Accessible: Short format and crisp writing style offer an engaging story with no background knowledge required

You are not the first sheep to follow the Shepherd; and you will not be the last.

For 3,000 years, people of faith have found meaning and comfort in the 23rd Psalm. This widely known song has had an impact across time and culture. But in the twenty-first century, this psalm appears idle. For many, it only serves as a short reading at the end of funerals. How did this happen?

Most books about Psalm 23 focus only on the interpretation of the author and many offer only perspectives of modern Christians. Lost Shepherd seeks to enrich the meaning of a passage many Christians believe is almost "too familiar" to appreciate. This book is the perfect cure to break Psalm 23 out of the category of nostalgia and return it to relevance in our daily lives by looking far into the past.

Lost Shepherd allows listeners to stand with the sheep who have gone before, revealing a better look into the face of our Shepherd. Each chapter examines a line from the psalm and discusses how it has encouraged devotion over the centuries and continues to feed our souls today. Rediscover lost interpretations and consider how Psalm 23 can form your spirit, serving as a source of wisdom for a new generation of Christians.
