Sinopse

In 1837, Juniper Collins and her sisters are shocked by their father's deathbed request for them to return a special set of beads to a Piegan Blackfoot woman he credits with saving his life during his travels West. Together, the sisters set out for the trapper rendezvous to find the woman, but their mission turns more daunting when they come upon the mass of men and lodges spread out in the Green River Valley.

Riley Turner came West to find peace and quiet and live off the land, but when four unprotected women arrive at the rendezvous, he feels compelled to help them and is more fascinated by Juniper than any other woman he's known.

As their search brings only empty leads and dead ends, the sisters must decide whether to return East or stay in the mountains to continue looking--and that's if the mystery woman is even still alive. Is the risk to honor their father's last request worth the danger they find at every turn?

"What an adventure! Rocky Mountain Rendezvous brought the wilds of the Wyoming area and Juniper's unique story to life."--KIMBERLEY WOODHOUSE, Carol Award-winning and bestselling author

"Brimming with vivid imagery, historical details, and a compelling storyline, this is a book Misty's readers will absolutely adore."--JEN TURANO, USA Today bestselling author

In this four-session audio Bible study, bestselling author and pastor Andy Stanley takes a closer look at one of the unique things Christians believe: God became one of us. Why in the world would God do that? Why would God leave the comfort and recognition of heaven to live on this ball of dirt in a time before morphine and indoor plumbing when the best of conditions barely paralleled the worst of modern-day conditions? Why? We think we know why He died. But what compelled him to live as one of us?

Short, Accessible Book Explains the Essential Elements of God-Designed Worship
Are Christians worshiping God the way we want to or the way he commands us? People often base church attendance around music selection or teaching style, but worship according to our own desires leads to idolatry. Scripture shows us how to bring our focus back to God as we preach, pray, read, sing, and see his word.
In this addition to the Church Questions series, Erin Wheeler details the biblical elements of corporate worship and helps readers prepare their hearts to edify their local church family. Emphasizing the importance of following a gospel-centered practice rather than trends, Wheeler shows readers how they can express their praise to God through beautiful worship that glorifies him.

    - Brief, Applicable Guide: Developed to give biblical insight into common questions around corporate worship
    - Edifying for Church Seekers and Congregants: Convenient resource for those new to church or for Christians looking to grow in areas of praise and church participation
    - Part of the Church Questions Series: Other titles include What If I Don't Feel Like Going to Church?; Why Should I Join a Church?; and What Is the Church's Mission?

Sapiens became a #1 international bestseller and a New York Times bestseller for simple reasons…
(Notice: This is a SUMMARY of Yuval Noah Harari’s bestseller, Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind.)
Unlike other macroscopic reviews of human history, Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind combines the best research into history with recent discoveries in biology and archaeology and complementary disciplines of science. It provides a unique point of view on how we got to where we are today – and what that means for us as a species.
Dr. Yuval Noah Harari traces the development of consciousness, above all else. 100,000 years ago Homo Sapiens were insignificant animals – but today they dominate the planet. At some point, the evolution of thinking superseded biological evolution. Much of our 'success' hinges on the importance of the myths and legends – the fictions of our imagination that have played such a vital role in the development of culture, ideology, religion, economics, science – instead of our pure biological traits.
Reading our summary is the perfect way to cover the full material and grasp the essential insights of Dr. Harari’s research in a fraction of the time. If you find Dr. Harari’s concepts enticing, we highly advise you to buy the full audiobook!
DISCLAIMER: Testimonies show that our professional summaries introduce more readers to the full book who otherwise would have been overwhelmed by the initial commitment. Listeners can use this summary as an introduction or a companion to the original, NOT AS A SUBSTITUTE.

Completely filled with some amazing insights, ideas, and tips that come from experience. [Miller’s] ideas are some that I’ve never seen in other books. This book alone completely changed how I approach giving offerings to spirits and deities.” —Mat Auryn, author of Psychic WitchThis book is about real magick, effecting real change, in a real world. There are some books on magick that teach it purely as spiritual advancement. There are others that teach it as a form of psychological self-help that affects only inner change. While magick can and should be both of these, it is something more. Real Sorcery is about success in practical magick; it is a book that aims at change in both the outer and inner worlds.Beyond a mere spell book or training course, Real Sorcery is a field manual on successful sorcery written by a professional sorcerer. The first part of the book lays out the qualities, concepts, and exercises necessary to attempt practical magick. The second part presents clear strategies for tackling almost any type of issue with sorcery. In this book you will learn how to:Attack problems from multiple angles, not just by casting a spellBlend mundane and magical action to ensure successFigure out whether what you are doing is working, and fix it if it isn’t Go beyond readings, into magical intelligence-gathering Influence the minds of other peopleWork most effectively on behalf of others This book was previously published as The Sorcerer’s Secrets by New Page Books in 2009. "Ema, give me your hand." These were the words Jesus spoke to Ema on Christmas Eve--the night He straightened her crooked foot, hand, neck, and spine, and restored her mobility.
Easter weekend, eighteen years earlier, an ordinary workday turned into a nightmare when Ema McKinley passed out and was left hanging upside down in the storage room.
Rather than improving, Ema's body became progressively bent and disfigured. Doctors diagnosed Ema with reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), an extremely painful trauma-induced disease which led to Ema's hand and foot deformities, painful sores, insomnia, gastrological distress, curvature of the neck and spine, heart and lung failure, and permanent confinement to a wheelchair.
Once an athletic, powerhouse woman with multiple jobs and volunteer positions, Ema became a modern-day Job who lost everything except her faith and desire to trust God more fully. Ema wrestled with pain, anger, and unforgiveness, but now takes the reader on a healing miracle encounter of Biblical proportions.
Rush of Heaven will ignite readers' passion for Jesus and help them walk hand-in-hand with Him through life's darkness. It will open hearts to embrace the impossible.
"Jesus gave me this miracle for you too!" -- Ema McKinley

“An invaluable guide for all those journeying on the path to greater freedom.”—Joseph Goldstein
The mind can be a potent tool, used to guide extraordinary achievements, inspire good works, and incline your spiritual path toward peace and awakening. But the mind can also produce thoughts that lead to suffering.
Most of us have experienced thoughts running rampant and seeming to oppress or control our lives. Even the Buddha tells us that before his enlightenment, he sometimes found his mind preoccupied by thoughts connected with sensual desire, ill will, and harm. But he figured out how to respond to thoughts skillfully and developed a step-by-step approach to calm the restless mind.
Following the Buddha’s pragmatic approach, a beloved Insight Meditation teacher guides you through five steps for overcoming distraction and focusing the mind:Replace unwholesome thoughts with wholesome thoughts.Examine the dangers of distracting thoughts.Avoid it, ignore it, forget it.Investigate the causes of distraction.Apply determination and resolve.
Each chapter includes exercises and reflections to help you cultivate these five steps to deeper concentration. You’ll learn about your mind and develop your ability to direct your attention more skillfully in meditation and daily activities. And ultimately, you’ll discover for yourself how these five steps boil down to one key realization: In the moment you recognize that a thought is just a thought, you will find yourself on the path to a life of remarkable freedom.
